Servico pessimo. Ao fazer a reserva tem a informacao de ser possivel utilizar o cartao de debito no entanto quando la chegamos disseram que afinal nao era permitido. Acabamos por ter de cancelar a reserva e perdemos o dinheiro. Nao voltaremos a alugar carros atraves desta empresa.
Terrible service. When making the reservation you were told that it was possible to use your debit card, however when we got there they said that it was not allowed after all. We ended up having to cancel the reservation and lost the money. We will not rent cars through this company again.
I'm happy to recommend Discovery Car Rental in both locations - Albufeira and Faro! First of all - all employees that we had contact with, are super helpful, kind, always picking up the phone, always calling back. We got a really good car - seat Ibiza for a good price. If you take full insurance, the deposit is not required. There are no any hidden costs and fees. Everything is clear from the beginning. After two days we had a flat tire and our Ibiza was changed to Volkswagen T-cross for no extra costs of the upgrade and it was awesome to drive even more comfy and beautiful car! We're super happy for the whole service and for sure we'll come back, while in south Portugal again.

Good selection of cars , we had a large vehicle for a week as we had a big family , friendly & helpful company very reliable and smooth drop-off to us and pick up from them at our hotel with contact the whole time saving us a lot of time for more family fun , they made everything stress free unlike some companies and very fair price as well which was fantastic. Definitely will be using in the future when we revisit Portugal , thank you very much to the staff at Discovery for making our holiday more enjoyable.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Our experience of Discovery Cars has been excellent. We dealt with Pedro and Juao, who were very helpful and provided extremely courteous and professional service. We hired a vehicle in 2020 and again in May/June 2021. They delivered and collected the vehicle from our accommodation on both occasions. We were really pleased with the vehicles we were given, both of which were new vehicles. On our trip in 2020 we hired a hatchback (a Renault I think), which was perfect for the four of us. It was a really easy drive. On our latest trip we went with more of the family and were given a Mercedes People Carrier, which was super comfortable, easy to drive and could accommodate 7 of us with plenty of room for our stuff. It was actually a 9 seater. Both vehicles were good value and there were no hidden costs or unexpected extra charges after we returned to the UK. I thoroughly recommend Discovery cars and their excellent customer service and we are planning to use them again when we travel to Portugal in September 2021. Just read previous reviews about damage. We were fully covered by Discovery Cars insurance policy and would not have had to pay for any damage.
We were charged EUR515 for a scratch. I'll leave you to decide whether you should choose a car hire company that charge that kind of price for a scratch!
