Amazing experience with Roadsurfer @ Faro! We rented the Volkswagen California for a week - the van was great to drive, complimentary kitchen box had everything we needed for meals, pop-up roof was very comfy and good for views from bed. Staff were very friendly and thorough in explaining to us about the van during pickup too. Highly recommend!

I am deeply disappointed with Roadsurfer. Our Portugal vacation is supposed to be next week, and we specifically booked the "Road House" camper van for its toilet and surfboard space. Just a week before our trip, we were downgraded to the "Surfer Suite" without a valid explanation. This vehicle lacks the essential features we needed, complicating our plans significantly. To make matters worse, we discovered that a "Road House" van is available in Lisbon, which is not far from Faro. The company has not responded to our messages and informed us of the change just one week before the trip, making cancellation impossible due to their policy. This is highly inappropriate and disappointing.
Rented a California van for 4 nights at the end of August. The staff was super nice & helpful both at pick up and drop off. The main issue was that the water system did not work and we only realised this at the end of the first day after we filled the water tank. Upon pick up, I asked why doesn't Roadsurfer fill up the 30l water tank right there and I got the answer that "We used to, but now we run 30 vans so.." which is silly since it makes no cost difference if you think about it. If they did, they could've found and fixed the water issue right there, and we wouldn't have spent 4 nights without water.
Thank you Roadsurfer for the great experience. The pick-up was really easy - just a 10-15 minute walk from the airport. We got a comprehensive explanation of every detail of the van. The van was well equipped and almost brand-new. We felt really welcome and would definitely recommend Roadsurfer for a ,vanlife' trip along the coast.
