Great experience with this rental service. Being a frequent car rental user all over the world, this location is filled with honest, caring and helpful individuals. We rented a manual car and had no issues. We had a brand new Ford Puma that was amazing on gas. I would recommend taking videos and pictures of the vehicle prior to driving off the lot so you can confirm any previous scratches/ dents, as unfortunately it's common to have a car with previous damage that you don't want to be reliable for. The airport shuttle service was efficient to and from the airport. Just the pick up location at PDL airport wasn't clear (go under the big blue canopy outside the main doors). Shuttle is usually every 15min. ~Would rent again from them!
Staff is friendly. The car was clean. The car lacked the power we thought we needed, but we still made it up those big craters ;) We had the rental for two days and spent about 35Eur in gas.
Horrible experience and terrible customer service. Their only automatic car rentals are electric. I was nervous about charging these, as I have no experience, and even called in advance of the trip to confirm that charging on the island is not a problem. Upon receiving the car, I was only instructed to download an app (miia) to locate charging stations. I was NOT informed that the charging stations require a physical card, which seemingly is received by mail. When I called the office to explain my problem at the charging station, no one was able to give me usable instructions. It took a lot of work to get the pertinent info on the car from the office, and I was finally able to connect my credit card to the app and prepaid 20euros, but the charging stations (two different ones) would not accept the connection (slightly different error messages at each station). After spending hours on hold and getting only basic unhelpful instructions to use the app, we were only offered to have the car towed, and to be taxid back to 45 min to the airport to receive a new car for our remaining day and a half. Outside of that they told us to call the app since it wasn't their problem. (App doesn't have a phone number and it's separate from the charging stations.) We had already lost so much time that we just let the car be towed and took taxis for our remaining day and a half. We can't figure out why 1) staff aren't better trained to troubleshoot charging station issues, a key aspect of renting an electric car or 2) why they didn't just provide a miia card to simplify the process for rental customers. why rent a car and take no responsibility for getting it to work? I have requested a refund by writing, which is the only way to resolve a dispute. Phone calls for issues like this are not accepted. All told, we lost 8 hours dealing with this problem, which ruined 2 of our 4 days on the island.
Reservation over Booking. Easy pickup from the airport. Nice guys. When taking the car it is recommended to take an 175EUR insurance to be save. Could be done differently, but OK. Taking back the car took about 10 minutes, with no issues what so ever. Our car wasn't very clean. No complaints. Transfer to the airport right after turning back the car. 5-10 minutes travel time.
The rental was without hitch. I got a stone caught in the disc and they offered to change the car immediately even though not necessary. Check in and return was without any problems and very quick. Staff were very polite, knowledgeable and very efficient. The car was returned not very clean and there were no questions asked. I cannot recommend this company enough. BRILLIANT!
Do not accept the car without a full tank. Felt like I was being scammed. Even though it's policy to provide the car with a full car, they didn't check the car before giving it (or so they said), first they hand wrote on the contract that the tank wasn't full (writing that it was at 5/8 which is obviously an impossible level to measure exactly. Gave back the car with slightly over half of the tank full , they first tried to convince us that the car was given to us with a full tank, then they said that it wasn't exactly 5/8 charging us 27EUR. Terrible servic, will never hire a car from this company
Best car rental experience in my life. In the beginning I was a bit skeptical because of bad reviews but I noticed they were very old. I'm so glad I booked the car with Drive on Holidays!! I relaxed the moment we were picked up on the airport and taken to pick up the car. All formalities went very smooth and we also got some recommendations for places to visit, super nice! I have to say all staff was very friendly and accommodating. I returned the car with some damage and yet again, even in this stressful situation it was handled quick and easy. After that we were also taken to the airport by the car rental employee. Very much appreciated. I cannot recommend this place enough, the people who work there are angels. I'd definitely come back!!!!
I had Fiat Panda for two weeks. I love Pandas and they are the best car for driving on small islands. The price was very good. Pickup at the airport was very fast even though it was after midnight. The car was fairly new. Procedures fairly fast. 1080 EUR deposit for a car the size of Panda is high but not unheard of. Staff friendly. I was scared by other reviews. Luckily, I had no problems at all. I did not create any damage to the car, returned fully full, and had no hassle. Also, I did not clean the car before returning. That is nonsense. Nobody mentioned that I should have cleaned the car. The service was good, and the value for money was excellent.
