This HERTZ office is may be okay for locals. For non portuguese costomers not recommended! Unsufficient informations concerning the two systems of Highways. Not helpful in terms of fining a solution in terms of the possibility to pay the 3 Euros on the Via Verde-Highway. We will have to wait until we are back home in Switzerland till the 3 Euros will be transformed in eventually 90 Euros after the whole Process. We will never go HERTZ again.

Horrible. I rented a van from Hertz through a partnership with IKEA. I was in a parking lot with the gate closed. I wasted almost an hour (out of 4 hours of rent) until I got someone to come and open it for me because everyone said it was not their responsibility. I called Hertz and they said they could not provide any support. But it gets worse. The fuel policy said that I had to refuel if I got to the end with less than a quarter of fuel and Hertz would reimburse me up to 25 (thats how it works in this horrible partnership with IKEA. But the van already had less than a quarter to start... but it gets even worse. I put the fuel in, it said in the rules and about 4 days later, I sent an email to Hertz asking for a refund, in accordance with the rules... they replied saying that under the conditions of contract says that for to be reimbursed I had to send the receipt within 48 days of my reservation... Everything is ridiculous. The worst service I have ever had in car rentals is that I will never be caught again. I dont give negative stars because its not possible

Perdi quase uma hora (de 4 de aluguer) ate conseguir que alguem me viesse abrir porque todos diziam que nao era da responsabilidade deles. Telefonei a Hertz disseram que nao podiam dar qualquer apoio. Mas fica pior. A politica de combustivel dizia que eu tinha de por combustivel se chegasse ao fim com menos de um quarto de combustivel e a Hertz reembolsaria ate 25 (funciona assim nesta horrivel parceria com o IKEA. So que, a carrinha ja tinha menos de um quarto para comecar.. mas fica pior ainda. Pus o combustivel colo dizia nas regras e uns 4 dias depois, enviei o email a Hertz a pedir o reembolso, de acordo com as regras... responderam me a dizer que nas condicoes de contrato diz que para ser reembolsado tinha de enviar o recibo ate 48 apos a minha reserva... Tudo ridiculo. O pior servico que alguma vez tive em alugueres de carro. Uma coisa posso garantir, com a HERTZ nunca mais. A mim nunca mais me apanham. So nao dou estrelas negativas porque nao e possivel

I booked the vehicle on 09/04/2024 and was unable to unlock the vehicle and ended up giving up on the rental. My card was debited with 132 euros today, 10/04/2024, one month later and so far the refund has not been made. My emails are not answered, a huge disregard for the customer. Im feeling injured.
