We stayed for 10 days and could easily have stayed longer. Teresa and Paulo are amazing hosts full of great advice, tips and going above and beyond to help book activities for us such as bike hire. It is set in beautiful country side 10mins up the hill from the local town, meaning that when it was 30 degrees there it was more like 27 on the farm which was perfect. ||The pool is a great size and not too busy (we often had it to ourselves) and there is so much to do in the area- highly recommend the National Park and the local adventure park and zip line. We really liked that QDR and the local town felt a bit off the beaten tourist trail too||The real highlight for us was how it combined the best of self catering with the best of hotels. Our cottage (Compadre) was clean, cosy, had high quality bed linen and a fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso machine and large fridge freezer. And stunning views from the windows and balcony! But we also had the amazing breakfasts every morning in the beautiful breakfast room, ordered three course dinner to our room and made use of the same day clothes washing service. ||Highly recommend this peaceful retreat for families and couples alike.

I stayed here several times and had an amazing experience every time. The staff is incredibly friendly, the space is super cosy and the food is just amazing, specially breakfast (don't miss it). I highly recommend Quinta do Rapozinho if you're looking for a place to relax in nature.

Just spent a wonderful, relaxing week staying at Quinta do Rapozinho. Stunning scenery, comfortable accommodation, lovely breakfast/meals and great hosts who went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The best of our day time visits were spent exploring places such as Amarante and Guimaraes whilst the evenings were spent on our own veranda watching the hills opposite twinkling with lights and listening to the gentle sounds of church bells ringing and cows calling their calves. Rural, hilly Portugal at its very best! Thank you Teresa and Paulo! Diana and Stephen - Loire Valley, France - October 2022.

The combination of wonderful hosts, stunning scenery, living history and modern comforts make this Quinta very special. The property has been in the hosts' extended family for generations, and is a beautifully quiet and private sanctuary. From the warm welcome and throughout the week, our group of friends felt the attention to detail and personal interactions from our hosts that made the stay exceptional. Hiking from the property, catching sun by the pool, feasting on delicious local fare, were all highlights. Truly memorable, a great place for extended family/friends to spend time.

We were a group of twenty using all the houses for a week, and all were thrilled by the experience. The charm lies in not only the creative architecture transforming farm buildings into comfortable accommodation but also the passion and knowledge of the family owners.||||This was the perfect base for exploring the north, only hour drive to Douro, Porto, Guimares etc. Hiking and mountain views are plentiful.||||The dinners were some of the best of our Portugal visit, creative use of local ingredients, vegetable and fish/meat alike, plus sumptuous desserts. We cancelled other dining plans to experience her cooking again. Another dining treat was a nearby farm-to-table in mountains with famous Borrasao beef.||||Each house is unique, from sleeping in wine casks to staying in cute caretaker cottage. Plentiful en suite bathrooms make this a great location for adult travelers. Cocenda is probably the favorite but each has appeal. The three bedroom Palheiro Grande even provided a large shared space for all of us to gather. Pool area also nice as others have mentioned.||||The property has been in the family for almost two centuries, and their commitment and vision truly made our experience unforgettable. In addition to great tips for the tourist hotspots, the owners graciously guided us off the beaten path, for example, pottery. We highly recommend this Quinta!

The views are stunning. Peaceful and tranquil. Accommodation is extremely comfortable and well equipped if u wanted to cook. We chose to have meals cooked for us in the evening. The food was excellent. Whilst there are various properties on this site it is still very intimate. The hosts are very friendly. All food is locally sourced. Nice play area for children with activities for all ages. The sky at night is magnificent...look out for shooting stars! We would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone.

One of the the nicest places I have ever stayed at. It was so tranquil looking out across a beautiful valley - lots of flowers and butterflies. For myself and my family it was perfect and our hosts were so pleasant and friendly. The food for breakfast was delicious. We went exploring for one day but then spent the rest of the holiday around the pool because it was so relaxing. I hope to return for a longer stay.

Our new destination took us to a place off the beaten track Stick headboards. Already on the outskirts of Minho, a stones throw from Tras-os-Montes, was the place we chose, more precisely in Quinta do Rapozinho, which is just a few kilometers from the center. Perhaps because it is in a transition zone, there is great diversity in this area in terms of landscape and places of interest. It is not very explored in terms of tourism, which pleases us. The journey was made by car and it can be said that it is quite good. A large room that had been converted and restored from an old olive press. Many local products on display and even brochures on what there is to visit nearby. We like nature, history and eating well. On the farm we have several houses, always well suited to a more rural spirit. Always using local materials and preferably recovering rather than making new. Those who value it, like us, will be entertained by some very original ideas here. In one of the houses, the rooms were built from large wine barrels. Its hard to imagine, but after being there, we saw that it really was possible. They are already famous for this outside the box idea. More than congratulating for the originality, what is important is the positive way in which they managed to fit everything into the surrounding environment. Outside, in a more private way, there is a park area for children and a swimming pool area. Hammocks, armchairs and even a bar. All with views of the Cabreira mountain range. Of the places weve already fled to, this was one of the places where we felt the most at peace. Our house was quite large and essentially made of granite and wood. It had 2 floors and is ideal for families or if you are with friendly couples. The outdoor area has an incredible view of the mountains and is also sheltered. It has a living room with a stove, which is very popular in winter in this area, and a fully equipped kitchen. We didnt use it because we were lazy and tired from work the last few weeks. On our last night we had booked for dinner and it was a lovely surprise. Matilde is responsible for the kitchen on the farm and even brought us a beautiful feast to the house. Traditional food, but very well done. We had dinner and lunch the next day. A salad with produce from the farm, seed puffs and sausages with a pumpkin and coriander soup that we still think about going back to this day just to try it again. Baked cod in the oven a lagareiro and for dessert the best lime mousse and drunken pears. The list is long, so its almost a banquet. For anyone visiting, this is something we really recommend. Matilde won us over with her belly and her friendliness. Talking about Quinta do rapozinho, we have to talk about the incredible breakfast. Service above the reception and possibly in one of the most beautiful places on the farm. Various objects with history beautifully adorn the space. Mountain bread, sausages and other local products. Different homemade cakes every day, homemade Muesli that we repeat and become fans of. Talking about the farm is also talking about the entire family component. An excellent place for families and those with children. Although the area is little explored, we are starting to find several points of interest and they are starting to appear on the map too. The Rei Moinhos walk is a must. Whether in summer or winter. Almost intact forests are already rare and one so beautiful even more so. In the center of the village you can visit the Vineyard of Moors interpretive center where we can see some of the most characteristic animals of the region and there is even space for a picnic. The baroque monastery of S.Miguel de refojos is being restored but is worth a visit. There is also the House of Time very close by, which is an interactive museum that takes us back to our origins but in a very modern and current way. Near the farm there is the wool house. On Thursdays there is weaving. There are plenty of reasons for us to run away again and tell some more stories.

Seja no Verao seja no Invernos. As quintas-feiras ha tecelagem.

An excellent option to disconnect from everyday life and recover energy, a place for rural tourism but with the enviable luxury of a 5-star hotel. The attention of its owners and staff was 7 stars, always thinking of new activities to entertain the little ones in the family. Pet friendly - you can bring your pet, organic breakfast products made by them madly. Highly recommended.
