Sou um cliente satisfeito ha mais de dois anos e alugo com frequencia. Por vezes tambem alugo noutras empresas em Coimbra, mas a Thrifthy e a preferida. Os funcionarios sao muito simpaticos e pacientes e ajudam rapidamente e bem. Bons carros novos a precos competitivos.
I have been a satisfied customer for over two years and rent frequently. Sometimes I also rent from other companies in Coimbra, but Thrifthy is my favorite. The staff are very friendly and patient and help quickly and well. Good new cars at competitive prices.
Everything was perfect for our 1 day rental to visit Luso. Pedro was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. And the price was unbeatable!
Awful company. Put phone down on us as we didn't' speak enough Portuguese... and this was an international car hire! Tried to complain on the Portuguese complaints system and they are not even listed as a legitimate company.
Excelente servico, pessimos carros! Os carros sao novos, mas nao tem qualidade! Sao carros muito fracos de motor, e ainda por cima da fraca qualidade asiatica. Tambem sao carros que consomem muito combustivel. Quanto mais fraco o motor, mais combustivel o carro consome! Tem de pensar em adquirir, carros europeus.
Excellent service, terrible cars! The cars are new, but they are not of good quality! They are very weak cars with engines, and on top of that, they have poor Asian quality. They are also cars that consume a lot of fuel. The weaker the engine, the more fuel the car consumes! They have to think about purchasing European cars.

Nossa experiencia foi muito boa. Nao tinhamos reserva previa mas conseguimos resolver facilmente. Alugamos um Fiat 500 completo, com baixa quilometragem. O atendimento foi muito bom.
Our experience was very good. We didn't have a prior reservation but we were able to arrange it easily. We rented a complete Fiat 500, with low mileage. The service was very good.
MUY MALA EXPERIENCIA. El coche que era nuevo, se averio, evidentemente por su falta de profesionalidad porque un vehiculo de 17,000 km con un fallo de aceite y motor es una dejadez. Nos jorobaron el fin de semana. dejandonos tirados sin alternativa, no nos dieron otro coche porque estaban cerrados y no hicieron ningun esfuerzo estando a tan solo 15 minutos de la ciudad, se averio a los 15 minutos!!! una verguenza. Por favor, no alquileis aqui, iros a una empresa mas seria como AVIS, ahi nunca he tenido ningun problema.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. The car, which was new, broke down, evidently due to their lack of professionalism because a 17,000 km vehicle with an oil and engine failure is careless. They ruined our weekend. Leaving us stranded with no alternative, they didn't give us another car because they were closed and they didn't make any effort being only 15 minutes from the city, it broke down after 15 minutes!!! a shame. Please, do not rent here, go to a more serious company like AVIS, I have never had any problems there.
Alquilamos un coche y 20 minutos despues empieza a expulsar humo blanco del tubo de escape, lo que nos obliga a parar en el arcen. Llamamos a la compania y pese a encontrarnos a 15 km de Coimbra tardan hora y media en enviar a alguien (primero la grua y despues el taxi). Pese a dar el aviso 45 minutos antes de que dicha oficina cerrara, la unica solucion que nos ofrecen es ir a Lisboa en taxi y volver por nuestra cuenta a Coimbra (con el consiguiente gasto de gasolina y peajes que abonariamos, por supuesto, nosotros). No valoran el hecho de que las condiciones del alquiler cambian pues Lisboa dista 200km de Coimbra, ni que un empleado de Coimbra se desplace a entregarnos otro coche, y fruto de ello nos dejan tirados 3 dias en Coimbra, debiendo cancelar todos los planes que teniamos. Tampoco se ponen en contacto con nosotros en ningun momento para disculparse por las molestas causadas, que han sido muchas. Por mi parte se llevan una buena reclamacion y la certeza de que no volvere a alquilar un coche con ellos.
We rented a car and 20 minutes later it started emitting white smoke from the exhaust pipe, forcing us to stop on the shoulder. We called the company and despite being 15 km from Coimbra, it took them an hour and a half to send someone (first the tow truck and then the taxi). Despite giving the notice 45 minutes before said office closed, the only solution they offer us is to go to Lisbon by taxi and return to Coimbra on our own (with the consequent expense of gasoline and tolls that we would pay, of course) . They do not value the fact that the rental conditions change since Lisbon is 200km from Coimbra, nor that an employee from Coimbra comes to give us another car, and as a result of this they leave us stranded for 3 days in Coimbra, having to cancel all the plans we had . Nor do they contact us at any time to apologize for the inconvenience caused, which has been many. For my part, they get a good claim and the certainty that I will not rent a car with them again.
