No aceptan tarjetas de debito, solo t.credito, ademas al recoger el coche vienen las sorpresas, +50EUR seguro fuera de Portugal, +50EUR por cambiar el nombre de conductor. El trato personal fatal, nos hicieron echar algo mas de gasolina en la entrega del coche, y tras volver de la.gasolinera y regalarles 20EUR mas, nos dicen que la aguja no se habia movido, tuvimos que mostrar nuestro ticket, el cual fue revisado con mucho detenimiento como si quisieramos timarles. Un tal Jonas fue quien nos atendio, muy mal trato.no volveremos a usar Autorent
They do not accept debit cards, only credit cards, and surprises come when you pick up the car, +EUR50 insurance outside of Portugal, +EUR50 for changing the driver's name. The personal treatment was fatal, they made us add a little more gasoline when delivering the car, and after returning from the gas station and giving them EUR20 more, they told us that the needle had not moved, we had to show our ticket, which was reviewed very carefully as if we wanted to scam them. A certain Jonas was the one who helped us, very bad treatment. We will not use Autorent again
We hired a car from Auto Rent for 4 weeks September 2021 and couldn't fault the service. Promotion transfers there and back from the airport. Car as described - clean and tidy. No issues with the car for the time we had it. Staff friendly and all paperwork easy to understand and emailed to us so we had a copy at all times. Would recommend and will use again
Vorsicht! Hande weg. Man wird mit gunstigen Angeboten gelockt, jedoch dann bei der Ruckgabe betrogen. Wir hatten das graue Fahrzeug in der Dunkelheit entgegen genommen und es hatte einige Kratzer/ Vorschaden. Im Protokoll war auch vieles sehr unubersichtlich angekreuzt worden, leider war ich hier nicht so aufmerksam. Bei Abgabe wurde behauptet, dass zwei Kratzer von uns waren. Dies war nicht der Fall. Die Preisliste lag schon bereit und man zwang mich fur den angeblich verursachten Schaden 261EUR zu bezahlen, sonst wurde man meine KAUTION behalten.Ein angeblicher Gutachter kam hinzu, ein Mitarbeiter von Autorent, die beiden Mitarbeiter sprachen auf russisch, dass ich auch sehr gut beherrsche und es kam mir vor wie ein abgespochenes Spiel, ein System, von den Kunden die zum Flieger mussen, Geld zu erpressen.Ich hatte schon viele Male PKWs angemietet und noch nie so eine schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Wir haben jetzt Reklamtion eingereicht und versuchen vom Handler die betrogene Summe zuruck zu bekommen. Ich kann nur abraten, bei dieser Firma ein Auto zu mieten!
Caution! Hands off. You are lured with cheap offers, but then cheated when you return it. We picked up the gray vehicle in the dark and it had some scratches/previous damage. A lot of things were marked in a very confusing way in the minutes, unfortunately I wasn't that attentive. When we handed it in it was claimed that two scratches were ours. This was not the case. The price list was already ready and I was forced to pay EUR261 for the damage allegedly caused, otherwise my DEPOSIT would be kept. An alleged expert came along, an employee of Autorent, the two employees spoke in Russian, which I also spoke very well and it seemed to me like a set-up game, a system to extort money from customers who have to get to the plane. I had rented cars many times and never had such a bad experience. We have now filed a complaint and are trying to get the defrauded amount back from the dealer. I can only advise against renting a car from this company!
My Car broke down in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night (it was my fault I put the wrong fuel in the car because of a misunderstanding (diesel is Gasole and Petrol is Gasolina), we we're way past Lisbon so I called the 24h customer service and the guy send a taxi and the car assistance, although auto rent is just an Algarve company. The taxi brought us to a near hotel were we slept one night for free and the car assistance brought the car back to Faro. So the next day we got a new car for the rest of our holidays. Unfortunately that type of repairs are not included in the insurance but when I brought the car back they just charged the repair for the first car and gave me my deposit back so we didn't had to pay the Hotel nor the Taxi. In another country or another rental company it would have cost thousands of euros just for cleaning the filter. So I'm very happy with Auto Rent. Shout-out to Eduardo!
We have been renting a car with this company for quite some years now. Always friendly employees and good rental cars. No complaints whatsoever. Top!

Classique arnaque a la carte de debit sur laquelle ils disent ne pas pouvoir retenir la caution. Il en resulte une vente forcee d'assurance a un prix prohibitif. On voit clairement que c' est pour eux un systeme Bien huile Reserve sous le nom de Payet Julien ( afin que le proprietaire ne reponde pas que je n'ai pas ete client chez lui)
Classic debit card scam on which they say they cannot hold the deposit. The result is a forced sale of insurance at a prohibitive price. We clearly see that it is a well-oiled system for them Reserved under the name Payet Julien (so that the owner does not respond that I have not been a customer of his)
