Put rental car into sat nav and it took us to this carpark. But we didn't realise it was for the car rental pick up, not drop off. So we immediately left (under 2 min). We were not allowed to leave until we paid EUR4.50. Even after we talked to someone they said we had to pay. Everything about this airport is to make money of tourists. Also check your change when you leave the gas station if you pay in cash.

I rent a car from this agency for travelling in Algarve during 5 days. I came to branch a little bit late (after 00.00). Personnel was waiting me there. They clearly explained everything and gave the car. I travelled in Algarve. Car was okay in terms of the performance. It was enough. I safely left the car. 30 minute passed but I spent the time for cleaning. Because, if you rent a car, you need to leave your rental car as you received. Rental car price was economical included full insurance. They deposited the deposit back after I left the vehicle. There were not extra charges. In addition, I had to delay my holiday about 1 month. When you want to change the dates, you need to send an e - mail them together with necessary information. They answered via both Whatsapp and E - mail. Their communucation line was open. My experience was good with this agency and I recommend to everyone who wants to rent a car in Algarve.

Some of the companies stalls are outside the airport. Can be difficult to negotiate the first time here. Thankfully most staff speak English and are friendly. Returning your car can be a nightmare as the drop off car park and office are in two different places.

Great service from Carvoeiro-car- hire. Very responsive on email. Arranged for car to be dropped and collected from Villa. Arrived early. Very thorough hand over. Recommend highly - totally stress free!

Renting cars abroad can be difficult and expensive however the accommodation and fabulous customer care of this rental company is by far the best I have come across. Flexible, quick to reply and extremely friendly. Highly recommend using them for anyone travelling to Faro.

Our experience was good. The information that was given was clear. Great car! It's a pity that we (at the end of our rental) had to leave the key at the reception of our hotel, because there was nobody of the rental firm at the agreed time. Therefore, no joined control of the car was possible. 24h later when we checked out from our hotel, we still saw our car standing at the parking lot.

READ IF YOU NEED A CHILD SEAT! We were met by a very friendly staff late in the evening. Didn't know in advance that we had to pay additional EUR 20 for toll transponder where you get EUR 15 credit and EUR 5 goes to the rental company for this "service". Fair enough, more on it later. Since we have a 2 year-old, we booked a station wagon and an "appropriate" car seat. To be sure I asked for a picture via email and got a picture of a modern car seat as an example. The horror started when the staff gave me the carseat which was a very old plastic carseat absolutely not conforming to the current safety standards (not even isofix) - see yourself below. We got the keys to Fiat Tipo SW (:-/) and when got shown the car, the car had a not-so-small damage to the bottom frame on the right side. It being late (23:00) and sort of desperate to just get to the nearby hotel we just went with it. In the morning I finally had a chance to see what I really got: A car with damages that has driver over 80.000 km, almost bold tires (see picture), overall a real piece or junk! Being in "holiday mood" and just not wanting to make a fuss for my family I went with it and the car drove ok to our destination about 150km. Return of the car was smooth and the staff acknowledged my comments for the tires with a comment that "it is legal"... One week later I emailed the company why my deposit is still blocked on my cc and they fixed it not long after. I then asked why I didn't receive the remaining unused funds from the EUR 15 credit for toll only to be told that I must have misunderstood that it was not refundable... Ofc this was not mentioned during check-in. Whatever, enjoy those pennies! The reason for this review is the safety of - very bad car seats for toddlers and babies (also saw the baby seat) and poor condition of the car. AVOID if you come with children. I was crying inside when people at the hotel had new Ford Focuses or Seat Leons from big name companies.....My main mistake was not seeing the car and the carseat before paying and arriving too late to find an alternative. This happened on 11-18 November 2023.

Good hire car company, easy collection and fast return. Would use again 5* The car was a little dirty on the way back so I used the auto wash @ AUTOPATACAO - Centro de Lavagens, Lda.
