Funny story: we waited 1h at the airport for transfer and then 50 min. at the rental station. When we wanted to leave the deposit, we were so tired after the journey and waiting time that we entered once a wrong pin. Mr. "Self-assured credit card specialist" behind the counter insisted, that the credit card is not valid. We were so confused because we even increased the limit beforehand. So we phoned the bank, to find out the CC is valid. When we returned to the counter 10 min. later with the correct pin, we were told that after 2 hours our booking has expired and the car is no longer available. ABSULUTE BEST JOKE AFTER LETTING US WAIT 1:50H! So there we stand in the middle of the night, with no car but charged the full rental fee for 11 days. In the end, we took a taxi to the hotel. So any explanation of this, Klass Wagen?

Everything about the service was very good. We received a clean car with a few little scratches which were registered before the handover. The office is very close by the airport so no stressful time at all. Shuttles were organized in time. Giving the car back was also smooth and handled professionally by Loryne. She was very happy to assist with the transition. Highly recommended!

Positives first! - Car decent & clean - pick up from airport was quick and the location was only 5 minutes away maximum Negatives - Very pushy scare tactics to try and make you take out additional insurance "You won't like the way the Portuguese drive" - "any dents you will be liable up to the cost of the car!" - "be very careful where you park, people in supermarkets will fling their doors into your car" Honestly, for a car rental company, you are going about your business in completely the wrong way. Do you want people to actually hire cars from you or be so scared to drive that they don't come back? - They are very insistent on this credit card situation. I know it's in the terms and conditions and we came prepared, but unfortunately the card we brought was not happy about being in a new country.... Meaning we were left stung with the additional PS350 insurance. I want to highlight, I have rented cars from many different providers in different countries including Greece, Italy, Norway and Iceland. All of which state "credit card for deposit" but all have been reasonable when it comes down to it and have accepted debit cards if the funds are there. This company seriously needs to rethink it's business model, it thrives on scaring people and leaving no other options when they have already booked online rather than focusing on providing happy positive experiences and getting return custom. It's a shame really. They also took PS150 for the motorways which I have not had refunded yet and have been home for over 1 week. No indication when I will get it back. The insurance chap at KW advised the toll charges are incredibly low, so not sure why such a high deposit is required. Either way, bad company. I rent cars a lot abroad as I like the freedom and this is the only time I have had a negative experience. Avoid if you can, they are not a nice company and their sales tactics (scare tactics) stink.

I was initially concerned of other reviews but actually found the rental process quite pleasant and simple. The place isn't inside the airport, but a 3 minute drive away. Finding the shuttle was a bit worrying - but it really is as simple as wait at the place they say - it seems to be constantly going back and forth. I purchased the collision damage waiver, as I always do. I understand comments about the push to sell it, but to be honest it's something you should always consider when renting abroad. I always take a CDW. Was about 230 euros for 7 days, in a simple 5 door hatchback car. Reasonable price I thought Car was new and clean, drove great. Dropping off the car took only minutes, only checked the fuel level. Reference below is for benefit of the rep who gets commission for the review, but it did not impact my review in anyway. FAO-169418301884648 We were picked up from the airport promptly, shortly we arrived at the Klass Wagen office. Check-in is very fast, it can be done online as well as on the spot. We received a new and very clean car. The return process is even faster than the check-in. We opted for insurance, which I also recommend. To sum it all up, it was an enjoyable experience. I would do it again, Klass Wagen.

Excellent service. We were collected promptly from the airport and taken straight to the lot. The check in process was quick and hassle free. After a week I returned the keys and as promised no issues were raised with the vehicle. I recieved my toll deposit back in full. I would use this company again, thank you.

I arrived at airport and not ideia, where was the bus shelter I asked from other companies. I was almost one hour looking for the shuttle and after for the bus. The car was good not problem. The insurance was expensive , they told the rent car is cheaper, and charge more from the insurance because they said the car is a top car and big! I didn't want to take insurance but I feel like if I didn't t take something will happened that much the staff told me. Very expensive insurance.
