Nice company with friendly staff. Easy process of picking up and bringing back when there is no one in the office. Also a proper car for a good price. Would definitely come back!
The first impressions were negative as I was dismissed to wait at 09:45 for a car pick up at 10h being told he had to go to a hotel and would be back 'around 10h'. No apology for any inconvenience, actually even said ' your pick up is only at 10h'. The person then arrived past 10h of course and there was a queue of people who had also been waiting since 09h30 for their cars. The car was also very weak engine wise, very tiring to drive in the steep hills of Madeira having to go on gear 2. Everything else was fine and I also explained he could have spoken differently in the morning and he seemed understanding and was nice upon the car return.
I hade a booking through booking.com for a large group of people for 2 separate but identical cars. I understand this is unusual, however on the day of pickup I got a call that they had assumed the second identical booking to be a mistake and that they only had one of the cars available. Mistakes happen. It just would have been nice to employ safety with more headroom. In they end they got us a pretty decent car as an alternative. All things considering I am really happy with AD car rental.
The car was almost new, and exactly as advertised. I took one star off because nobody was at the locked office at pick up time, so we had to wait until someone came. Otherwise all good!
Happy with the service. A good car supplied in good condition, powerful enough to cope with Madeira's steep mountain roads. A very reasonable price.

Good value, convenient and friendly service. Although 4 people in a little car on Madeira's hills was sometimes tricky. Next time we'll use the same company and book a larger one!!
Booked online a few week before our holiday. The car was the one we booked however it did have some moderate cosmetic damage to the front bumper. Overall very good and friendly service although we did have to arrange delivery via our hotel reception and had to pay extra for this. Would have been nice if this was offered when booking. Basis excess is high so extra cost to cover this. Car was clean and in good mechanical condition although the washer bottle was completely empty on delivery so I could not clean the windscreen. Overall pretty happy with the vehicle and service we received.
