We decided not to get our car rental at the airport after hearing many negative experiences. Our hotel accommodated us with this awesome car rental company Atomo, and we couldn't be more pleased! Affordable, clean and new cars to choose from, exceptional and easy customer service! They delivered the car straight to our hotel as well as pick up from the same location it was delivered to, I would highly recommend!
There were so many things I loved and appreciated about this rental company: quick responses to questions via WhatsApp, brand new (very clean) car, little to no fee car pick-up/drop-off at desired location (check details on no charge boundaries and schedule), reasonable pricing, friendly customer service/staff in person and online!!! Had a very hard time to find a place to rent a car without deposit and extra fees cause Madeira has plenty of options but found this place so random and decided to give it a try and guess what that was perfect decision. Took a car with automatic transmission for fours days with full insurance for only 189EUR. Everything went smooth and quick

Really clean car, inside and out, in great condition too. Would highly recommend having an automatic transmission vehicle due to the steep hills. Absolutely 10 out of 10. My friend recommended this service to me and I recommend it to you. It is definitely without any hidden payments in the contract. Everything is as simple as possible and thanks to this car rental service I saw the whole island, a huge thank you to them. When returning the car, I was asked to park the car next to the office and put the keys in the dropbox) I have never met such trust anywhere in all my long experience of renting transport in different countries!) Ps The car has carplay. It was a pleasant surprise.
I found them randomly while walking, and within 10 minutes, I booked a car. The service was very fast and professional, making the entire experience smooth. The premium insurance and the quality of the car provided peace of mind. I rented a SEAT Arona, which was perfect for Madeira. It wasn't too big (though I would still avoid some streets in Funchal), and it had hill assist, which made driving much easier. The only feedback I have is regarding the pickup location. It takes place on a street next to the shop, which is convenient for a quick departure but makes it a bit difficult to inspect the car. Other than that, it was the best car rental experiences I've ever had. The staff is amazing and available 24/7. Great job!
