Horrible company, I advise you not to rent from them. We rented one of their best cars for a week, it didn't come with a spare tire, but we were assured that if anything happened to call a number and we will get help on the spot. On the second day we had a flat tire at 9:30, we called the number and they sent us a at midnight to go home, and they took the car, we were in the center so no explanation why all this delay, and told us to go again to the airport the next day on our own expanse and waste of time and we were given a worst car. Never again. Their customer service is bad.

Normally don't write bad reviews but they cancelled my reservation although i was calling them two days in a row to inform about delayed flights... furthermore they had my flight number and didn't bothered to contact me and when finally i managed to contact them, they refused to give any help.

This company is a huge scam Remember not to rent a car from them. They don't accept credit cards for deposit If you arrive after 11pm, and somehow the office is still open, you have to pay 45e extra. THEY LEFT US WITHOUT THE CAR WITHOUT Refund MONEY AT NIGHT AT THE AIRPORT AND she was exemly VULGATED. Fortunately, I recorded all this sytuation. This company is not reliable. I had booked via Opodo and when I arrived at the airport their employee told me that my reservation number was unknown and did not deliver me the car. It was not true because Opodo phoned them and them and they confirmed that my reservation was registered. So they just scammed me. My advice: avoid this company. When they fooled you and you send them a request to find a solution, they don't even take your request into account and don't answer you: unpolite and much contemptuous towards the customers.

Everything went really well and we were very happy with the car (Hyundai Kauai). Pickup and final processing worked very well with the friendly person. The bus stop in front of the building is also a good way to get away every now and then, even if it is located more in the city center of Funchal.

Bad experience last year with this agency. We didnt have a credit card but a debit card. We were billed for the premium insurance pack even though we had requested the minimum insurance because we are already covered in the event of a risk elsewhere. At first we had no problems with Guerin. Pickup worked and we were given very nice advice. The return also went smoothly and we received our final invoice without any defects or costs. After we pointed out that the car had occasional problems with acceleration, we received an email two days later with a payment request of 590 euros because it was now discovered that we had filled up incorrectly. (Petrol engine - we should have filled up with diesel - which interestingly is not possible if you dont aim at the tank opening from further away) We then asked for a workshop report with a time stamp. Of course this didnt exist or wasnt forwarded to us. The demands continued to be made. Without issuing an invoice or anything similar. After we made it clear that we would not pay without an invoice and a workshop report, Guerin called in a German debt collection company and stated that we had not paid our rent. We have now sent all the receipts to the debt collection company and are waiting to see what the company tries to do next. So in short from our experience: nice and helpful employees on site. But what came next is a disgrace!

Nach Hinweis von uns, dass das Auto ab und zu Probleme bei der Beschleunigung gemacht hat, bekamen wir zwei Tage spater eine E-Mail mit einer Zahlungsaufforderung in Hohe von 590 Euro weil jetzt festgestellt wurde, dass wir falsch getankt haben. (Benziner - wir sollten Diesel getankt haben - was interessanterweise nicht moglich ist, wenn man nicht von weiter weg auf die Tankoffnung zielt) Wir haben dann um einen Werkstattbericht mit Zeitstempel gebeten. Diesen gab es naturlich nicht oder wurde uns nicht weitergeleitet. Es wurde immer nur weiter die Forderung erhoben. Ohne eine Rechnung oder Ahnliches zu stellen. Nachdem wir klar gemacht haben, dass wir ohne Rechnung und ohne Werkstattbericht nicht zahlen wurden, hat Guerin ein deutsches Inkasso Unternehmen eingeschaltet und angegeben, dass wir unsere Miete nicht gezahlt hatten. Nun haben wir auch an das Inkasso Unternehmen alle Belege gesendet und warten ab, was die Firma als nachstes versucht. Also kurz gesagt aus unsrer Erfahrung: Vor Ort nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Aber was danach kam ist eine Schande !

O aluguer ate correu bem, embora nao tinham o carro que inicialmente tinha escolhido, o que me fez dar um nota mais negativa e a publicidade enganosa que eles dizem que teria um desconto de 50% no deposito a quando entregasse o carro sem ter o deposito cheio, o problema e que os valores que eles usam nao sao os valores de mercado ( mesmo sendo o mais alto na ilha da madeira) mas sim uns valores internos em que os supostos 50% ficam mais caros indo eu atestar o carro sem qualquer desconto. Considero isso publicidade enganosa e tenham cuidado com as ditas promocoes.

A FRAUD. We rented a car and paid for the coverage up front as there was no other option. When it was time to pick us up, no one came so we called the number that appeared and they picked us up from Faro. They supposedly gave us Funchals number and all they did was insult us and hang up on us. We lost the money and no one ever came for us.

Fraud. Definitely NOT a recommendation! The car we booked and paid for online was not given to us because the credit card we had already paid for the car with did not fit. The staff on site was incompetent, prepotent and not interested in solving the problem. Am Ende haben sie uns 150 verrechnet (das Auto hatte fur die Tage Ingesamt 250 gekostet) um uns anschliessend das selbe Auto fur den selben Zeitraum um 600 anzubieten!! Wir sind dann zur Konkurrenz einen Schalter weiter gegangen. Nie wieder.
