We booked online, super easy communication through WhatsApp followed and then someone was there to greet us at arrivals, we had a seamless handover and a fantastic week in an automatic corsa. We had an amazing time renting a car with Insularcar. They provided us with a good manual car and were very punctual, friendly and gave us great tips and advice. But a word of advice to all of you not from Madeira; do not underestimate the difficulty of driving manually in a mountainous region like Madeira, so please take an automatic!!! It is worth every penny! We had a problem with our manual and couldnt start the car while standing on a hill, the nice people of Insularcar came to our aid very quickly and provided us a great automatic immediately. We cannot thank them enough and please support the smaller companies, as they will help you better than other international rental companies.

We rented a car here for our 10 day stay and were very happy with it. The car (Fiat Panda Hybrid) was almost brand new and very clean when we picked it up. The whole process took no longer then 15 Minutes. The drop off was uncomplicated as well and took even less time. Didn't have a single problem with the car during the time. Can definitely recommend.

I rented the latest generation Nissan Micra K14 here this August. There were no problems with the car, it worked great, it even handled the hills between Curral das Freiras and Pico do Arieiro and there were no problems when returning it either. The co-payment was up to the amount of the deposit. A big advantage was that the car could be rented almost immediately. I was satisfied, so I can recommend it

Everything perfect We didn't have a reservation. We arrived in the morning and in about 20 minutes drove off in a new Mazda 2, automatic, hybrid. It had 200 km before we rented it. The car is perfect for Madeira. You don't need to think about slopes, strong climbs, narrow roads, the car overcomes everything without any problems. The employees are very kind and helpful. Please note, a credit card is required for the security deposit (no debit). But it is possible to do without with an insurance option at 10/day (the price therefore remains correct) and a security deposit of 100 in cash returned at the end of the stay :) Advice if youre going hiking, really take a model thats a little sturdy for the climbs, you dont believe it until youre there, but it climbs hard

We rented a Skoda Scala in April 24. Very good contact with the person who received us (exchanges in English), the perception of the auto rapid inventory of the vehicle (we had subscribed to additional insurance: cdw -essential if you want to have peace of mind, it is not an insurmountable blow/tranquility). Car delivered with 1/4 full and delivered with the same quantity. On return, we were unable to clean the interior, but the car was returned without any external damage. Booked a Fiat Panda through Check24. We were greeted at the airport by a very friendly employee (there is no counter at the airport), who even spoke German. The car only had 3,000 km and almost no defects. The Fiat Panda was very pleasant to drive on the sometimes very narrow roads. Return absolutely no problem. We would definitely book again.

Bad surprise when, upon arrival at the airport at 1:30 a.m., no one was waiting for us even though in the emails everything was clear and ok for them. Forced to take a taxi to return to Funchal. When we contact them the next day, no excuse our employee gave the car to someone else. Delivery of the car during the day, but no commercial gesture! We were just told that we had to call the assistance number... but that we werent even given it! It cools down a bit though! Be careful if you rent outside opening hours... The rest of the stay and rental went well and no unpleasant surprises at checkout.
