Perola Rent a Car in Funchal

Excellent service from Perola Rent a Car. We walked in to rent without a booking. Got an almost new Mitsubishi Colt (Renault Clio) with Apple Car play (easy navigation) on a 2 day hire fully insured for just EUR100. Toured the island easily, the car was immaculate in every way. Renting a car went perfectly good. We reserved the car about a month in advance. We also made the payment online. Unfortunately, the confirmation email about the car reservation didn't arrive, but the communication before the rent a car was fast. We received the car which we reserved, clean and with an explanation of other information. The return without any request took place according to the agreement at the hotel (just give the key at the reception). We were very satisfied with the price and the car at all. From our own experience, we recommend renting a car with an automatic transmission and that it should be driven by a driver who already has some driving experience, because driving in Madeira is rather hard ;)

Very happy with the Perola services. We booked and paid a car in advance from home and when we got to Madeira everything was ready. There were no hidden fees, nothing extra to pay, just signed everything and took the keys. We liked the fact that the car was the one that we selected, but we know the models can change. This little car took us everywhere we wanted on the island with its little engine. Be careful that there are not so many gas stations outside the bigger cities, so make sure to refill once you reach half a tank. We stayed at the Melia Mare hotel and we could use the underground hotel parking for free, only with the room card. Enjoy!

Very happy with the service, they were very helpful, very friendly and very professional. The car was very nice, clean and in good condition. 1 to 10 I will give it 11, for the service provided and the car it self. We rented a car but when we came to pick it up they said that it had to be repaired so they offered us to give us our money back or to take another car. We wanted automatic car but since it was repairing we had to take another car which was manual. That was okay we didn't mind that much. The day after that we picked up the car that we originaly wanted to. Both cars were new, clean and very nice. On the last day we asked where should we leave the car at the airport since we paid some extra money to leave it at the airport. They responded that we have to pay additional 45EUR because we told them last minute. They were very responsive and when we asked them to check again they saw that we payed for the airport pick up and collected the car there. Little bit sloppy service but in the end everything turned out okay.
