I had a really great experience renting the car here. From the first step everybody was very helpful, answered all my questions quickly and explained me all the details. The company representative with the car patiently waited for us in the airport despite the flight delay and he was very nice and welcoming. The car was clean and in a very good state, like a new one, we have no problems with it at all. By the way, we rented 2-seat Smart car and I had some doubts that it will be too weak for all the heights and mountains in Madeira. The company representative reassured me and told that the car would be enough for everything. And he was right, it was perfect! It got fit everywhere, it's really important on the narrow Madeira roads. Highly recommend this company, I'll definitely rent the car there again!

Great service! We rented a Smart in Madeira, the picking-up process was nice and easy, a polite assistant gave us the car and understandable instructions, everything was really good! We also took an optional insurance for lights, wheels and mirrors to feel safe for the whole period of rent. We didn't face with any problems, so I can definitely advice Rent-A-Car Madeira to every visitor of this paradise island :)

We left booking a car until the last minute. Prices were high, this wasn't the lowest but it was on the lower end. Reviews seemed decent so we took the chance. Very happy overall. We ended up with a little Smart car. A friend had just been in Madeira a week before and recommended using Sport mode in the car. There were a couple hills where this recommendation definitely paid off. Staff we dealt with were great.

A great car hire company in Madeira. I booked the car hire online late the evening before I wanted to collect it. I received confirmation of booking first thing the next morning then a text to confirm the car was ready for me soon after. The collection and return process was quick and straightforward. The staff were knowledgable and helpful. It was a great car and the cost was a lot cheaper than other quotes I received. So I would definitely recommend using this company if you are looking to hire a car in Madeira.

We booked a fiat 500 before we arrived to the island. We ended up getting a mini cooper because the other car was not available. Everything went well, we loved the car. It was fast, strong and easy to drive. The staff was incredible friendly. If someone is planning to visit Madeira I highly recommend this place to book a car!

First the positive parts. Easy and hassle free rental. All documents provided as digital per e-mail. Staff was friendly and fast. Made a reservation for a Smart fortwo Cabrio and for 10 am and soon got a mail that it would be available at 12 and a question if that was ok. I said it was. On the day of rental we arrived on location at 11 am and the staff said that the car would have been available at 10am as per reservation request. This was a a bit frustrating as we would have gotten on with our day and driving earlier. The car was a Smart Fourtwo Cabrio from 2018 with 98500km on the Odo. This is far from the experience with near new cars in other reviews. The car had some wear as can be seen in the pictures. It had quite some travel in the brakes and a bit more rear brake bias than I expected. It had a drive train engagement delay of some 2-3 seconds when pressing the accelerator, makes parking in steep angles a bit challenging. It had quite a bit of noise from the left rear wheel bearing. The key was falling apart. This was most likely a really fun car when new and drivable but not enjoyable. Tyres where in good condition. The price was ok but not cheap considering the condition of the car Edit 9.7 2024 Changing my rating from 3 to 4 due to the response from the company.

I have rented cars in most European countries, but this was the best and most hassle-free experience: no advance payment, no credit card blockage, and smooth coordination for pickup and drop off. I wish there were more such rental services. PS: I rented a convertible mini-cooper for one week and had no issues with the vehicle.

I was very pleased with renting a mini cooper. The car had 15,000 km of mileage, but the brakes were new, this is important. The company is reliable and everything met expectations. I booked this car for the next period, I hope everything will be fine too. One of the previous drivers left a noticeable scratch. Be careful and don't rush, especially in city parking lots.
