While being in Madeira, you have to rent a car to see this beautiful island. And when you do, you have to rent a car with an insurance that covers everything, just to be sure. We highly recommend to rent a car at this place. Nuno is such a cool guy. He made it so easy for us. We didn't have to worry about picking up the car or bringing it back. He brought it to our hotel and picked it up himself. It felt more like as is we were using a car of our friend, than renting it. He did all the paperwork very quickly. Wir waren mit der Autovermietung mehr als zufrieden. Gebucht haben wir uber unseren Reiseanbieter. Herr Rosa von der Mietwagenvermittlung hat uns den Wagen punktlich zum Hotel gebracht und wir konnten unkompliziert mit Kreditkarte zahlen. Zusatzlich gab es noch ein paar hilfreiche Tipps fur unsere Inselrundfahrt.
We were more than satisfied with the car rental. We booked through our travel provider. Mr. Rosa from the rental car agency brought the car to the hotel on time and we were able to pay easily with a credit card. There were also a few helpful tips for our island tour.
Alquilamos un coche a traves de la agencia de viajes; lo traian al hotel a las 10h. A las 10,15h llamamos a la empresa, y con una excusa de una carrera ciclista, dijeron que lo traian a las 12h. El coche llego a las 12,30h. Primero, no nos avisaron que llegaban tarde...y perdimos la manana esperando. Segundo, para abonar el seguro a todo riesgo tuvo que ser en efectivo, puesto que no tenian datafono..sin avisarlo anteriormente. Tercero, poco amable el senor que trajo el coche y con quien firmamos el contrato; hablando en portugues (normal) pero tener que pedirle 3 veces que hablase mas despacio o nos lo dijese de otra manera por no entenderlo. Esfuerzo cero en comunicacion..sensacion de que no eramosde su agrado. No, no recomiendo esta agencia; disgustada. Y, que menos que un poco de amabilidad/facilitar la comunicacion...porlo que ha costado: 307 euros 5 dias de alguiler mas 75 euros del seguro a todo riesgo...
We rented a car through the travel agency; They brought him to the hotel at 10 a.m. At 10:15 a.m. we called the company, and with an excuse about a bicycle race, they said they would bring it at 12:00 p.m. The car arrived at 12:30 p.m. First, they didn't let us know that they were late...and we wasted the morning waiting. Second, to pay for the comprehensive insurance it had to be in cash, since they did not have a dataphone... without prior notice. Third, the man who brought the car and with whom we signed the contract was unkind; speaking in Portuguese (normal) but having to ask him 3 times to speak more slowly or tell us in another way because we didn't understand it. Zero effort in communication...feeling that we were not to their liking. No, I do not recommend this agency; disgusted And, what less than a little kindness/facilitating communication...for what it has cost: 307 euros for 5 days rent plus 75 euros for comprehensive insurance...
Recomendo. O Sr Paulo foi o nosso motorista, simpatico e fez questao de nos mostrar tudo na ilha, sempre preocupado com o nosso bem estar e sempre com boas dicas. Parabens.
