The driver was a bit rude, and we asked to drop us at terminal 2, and she said she wasn't allowed ... Really you spend 2 weeks with them car waiting for a pick-up about 1 hour on our arrival and when we ask 2 minutes favor she wasn't allowed... Thank you but was first driver answer us like that ....
Waited for an hour curbside at the airport for our complimentary shuttle. We ended up taking a taxi to their location and was greeted with rudeness. Another couple in their office experienced the same issue. I highly recommend avoiding Drivalia.
Charging EUR20 extra for toll fee while it was only EUR0.60. System activation cost EUR20, what a trick to make extra profits. The only result of doing this kind of business is receiving a 1 star review.
Really bad experience with Drivalia Portugal. I made a reservation for a car in Lisbon paid for by credit card. After a few minutes I received an email telling me that the booking was NOT confirmed. I immediately write to customer service for the reimbursement. The next morning, seeing as the trip was close, I booked with another company. After a few hours, without further explanation, I received a confirmation from Drivalia. Since I had already booked with another company, I ask for the reservation to be cancelled. Drivalia cancels it for me but retains 10% as if it were a standard cancellation and not the consequence of a failed booking confirmation. EXTREMELY INCORRECT behavior. Since then customer care has no longer responded to any emails requesting clarification.
We had great experience using Drivalia Lisbon. We hired a car for 2 weeks which we drove around the whole of Portugal. As long as you take care on where you park and are not reckless, you will be fine (This applies for any and all rental companies). Our deposits were paid back (after a lengthy wait, but that is due to country restrictions) but can happily suggest using them for your rental needs. Thanks to them, the awesome team and of course our Seat "Sergio" which looked after us for the 2 weeks on the road.
I rented the car for 7 days and would do so again! The whole team were complete professionals. When I researched all the companies in Lisbon, this was the only company without reports of fake damage charges when you don't purchase the rental company insurance. They were great. No push to buy theirs. Albeit, I went through the car thoroughly inside and out and under the bumpers. Just book using a credit card ( no debit) and plan ahead during peak times.. We had metro/bus passes so no need for any shuttle. This is the only company to use in Portugal!
I waited more than 2 hours for pick up and give back to car. Always over crowded, not enough staff. Even there is no chair Car was good but they giving the car on a dark space and you can not see the previous damages, that's why they can charge you. Be careful.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this car rental company. Lousy customer service, I had to call multiple times to know where I could pick up my car and have been waiting outside the delivery point for 30 minutes after being suggested by the front desk that I go elsewhere to return the car. Fortunately there are many alternatives in Portugal. This one, never again.
