Duarte was great and very helpful! I'd rent again anytime!!
Very good E-bikes, everything was fine except the fact we had to wait 1,5 hrs at arrival for check in. Otherwise I would give 5 stars
Happy with the e-bikes we rented @Europcarbikes. The rental process was quick and easy, the staff was professional and friendly, and the e-bikes were great. Comfortable, speedy and fully charged; in one word: perfect!
Perfect service, fair prices and brand new scooters! Highly recommended!
I have used the services of Europcar on several occasions while in Portugal, renting cars, and had no problems and the service was impeccable so far. However, I cannot say the same thing for the bike rental at Europcar Castilho in Lisbon. While the bike itself (BMW GS 750) was excellent, even though a slightly older model, there were several issues that negatively influenced the whole experience, above all the attitude and customer service from the very start from the lady, that is, I believe, the office manager. I made the reservation for the motorbike almost three months in advance. At the pickup, they were late by two hours because there was not a single bike of this size in the garage. Although they were late by more than two hours and I had to ride at 40C the lady was rather rude as if I was the one late and she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience nor did she make any concession to remedy the situation. I even had to be super persistent to convince her to agree that I could return the bike on the last day of the rental at the same time I picked it up. In the end she agreed only if I bring it one hour earlier than the pick-up time. Furthermore, they put an apparently cheap phone holder on the motorbike and that cost me a broken phone, a totally shattered display, on the very first day. After riding for more than 200km and making couple of stops the phone simply slipped out of the holder in the middle of the ride after approx. 40-50km on the road at an 80-90 km/h. Thus, it cannot be that the phone was not properly put in the phone holder. Actually, my girlfriend was making a video of the sunset at the very same moment it slipped so you could actually see it on the video. However, they were not interested in seeing this nor discussing anything regarding the damage occurred or the dysfunctionality of the phone holder that they gave me. Once again, the lady had the central role with an inappropriate behavior that was far from a proper customer service. Therefore, better bring your own phone holder. Lastly, be careful with the quotas on the website and be sure to ask about the coverage as the price difference between the different packages (of course there is no full coverage for motorbikes) could be more than 200 euros for six days. It came as a surprise to me at the pick-up. I should have contacted them before.
George was awesome. He got me all set up for a tour! Thanks so much :)
I cannot recommend it for road bike rental. The staff were very friendly and tried to help where they could. The price was also very attractive. However their selection of road bikes is very small making getting the right size a challenge or impossible. They have many more city & mountain bikes so would be better for those types. Plus I was given a bike with a perished tyre despite having just been serviced by their mechanic. I had to return to have this changed but if you weren't experienced and didn't notice this it would be extremely dangerous to ride. When renting from a well established brand you would expect that all their vehicles (cars & bikes alike) are safe to ride. I thank the team for their help but I did expect better.
Perfect team for perfect bikes. Will back again. Thank you.
