This is our fourth time staying at this hotel. My sister and I love it. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into Lisbon's historic city center. The walk is along a beautiful, tree-lined boulevard with luxury shops on each side; often there are local vendors set up. ||This is a historic building, so the rooms are small but very manageable and quite comfortable. Not to mention immaculately clean! The beds and pillows are comfortable.||The staff is very helpful and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet is large and offers loads of selection.
We had a great stay, staff was kind and helped with all of our requests. The rooms are comfy, quiet and clean and the location is great with a walking distance to the centre, public transport options, restaurants and supermarkets all within 10min walk. To give some ideas where to improve, we would have enjoyed more variety in the breakfast even if it makes the daily choice smaller (such as different style of eggs, cold cuts, fruits or some bacon??! ). Another thing is that the reception was so cold it felt intentional in order to clear it. The last day we noticed that the breakfast room was open all day, so there was another common area to use, we just didn't know about it. Lastly, the bar could be placed elsewhere to make it more welcoming. As you can see, tiny flaws, which only become apparent because the important stuff was great!!!
We spent 2 nights in this hotel which for a Holiday Inn Express was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood with several restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance and about a $7Euro Uber ride from all the action in downtown Lisbon. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. All in all we would happily stay here again.
We chose this property mainly because of the location and brand recognition and neither disappointed. I wanted to close to the Marquis de Pombal as a starting point to be close to metro as well as walking distance to Rossio. It was also a consideration to be close to stop #1 for the hop on hop off buses which we often use to get around and explore a city or a trip out to Sintra. The property itself is clean and comfortable with a helpful staff. The rooms were clean and functional and would not hesitate to return. Only downside was that the street noise was a little higher than we anticipated but really was not a problem.
This hotel was great for our two night stay in Lisbon. Metro is two blocks over and you can also walk 15-20 mins to downtown and another 10 to the famous pink street, etc etc. we had a free night stay each (two of us) and nice gentleman at the counter was able to combine both separate reservations to stay in the same room without having to check out and check back in. Breakfast was huge! As Diamond members, we also received a free room upgrade and four welcome drinks. I will definitely return if ever in Lisbon again.
Just stayed here for 5 nights with my family. We were really impressed with how much nicer this location is versus your typical Holiday Inn Express in the United States. It's genuinely a really nice hotel - great staff, and delicious free breakfast including some of the best Pastel de Nata's we had our whole time in Lisbon. The Hotel is new and clean, in a renovated historic building right near Marquis Pombal station. Rooms are somewhat small by U.S. standards but normal for Europe. We had a balcony with views of the city and water. Overall was very happy with our stay here and would highly recommend.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was great.|All the front desk staff were too attentive to absolutely everything, helpful and very very friendly. Super caring with my son.|The hotel is clean, comfortable, bright and spacious. It has a lot of things. It is within walking distance, it is in the center, and it is accessible to all types of transportation.|The breakfast was spectacular and if anything was missing, the staff was always there to help you.|Definitely, if I come back to Portugal and i need a central hotel, i would stay here.|perfect for families, we had a room where we had a sofa bed and they also gave us a room with a small minibar which was spectacular.
Our stay was very pleasant, we were surprised to find out that breakfast is included with all bookings. The breakfast selection is excellent! The rooms are very comfortable and there is a mini fridge for own use as well as kettle with tea and coffee available. One interesting feature in the room is that they provide two pillows (one soft and one hard) so you can choose what's most comfortable for sleeping. The location was convenient for access to metro and bus. The only reason I'm removing a star is because when we were checking in a number of reception staff members in reception were badmouthing/ complaining about other guests they had encountered. And whilst I'm aware most people working in customer serving roles will badmouth some customers I think this should not be done in front of other guests as that's very unprofessional. Aside from that, the cleaners seemed very professional and quick to tidy up the rooms.
