This hotel is excellent and well located. You will be near the excellent restaurants and within walking distance of the hop on and off busses. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is very good. The prices are reasonable and it has a funky feel to it. The bed is comfortable. Just be careful of the shower. It is very slippery.
I really like the cowork space here. I think it's EUR5 an hour but free if you're buying food, coffees or drinks. The staff are super friendly and happy to help. The Moxy cocktail was extremely sweet is my only criticism but next time I'm gonna say it at the bar so hopefully they can make it a little less sweet next time ;)
The staff at this hotel is amazing! They are super hospitable and will go out of their way for you. The common areas, including a pool are really nice and eclectic. The rooms are very functional, just be prepared as they are small. Really like the neighborhood in terms of its proximity and nearby restaurants and supermarket. a very good value all in all. Would stay there again.
Great place to get you up-to-speed with walking Lisbon. The subway is close enough but also incentive to test out less-touristy walkable restaurants and sites nearby. Hotel itself is cozy, elevators aren't slow, staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has great variety as a buffet. At night, the bar is low key but still a sense of liveliness. If a swimming pool is a dealbreaker, this one is on the roof and really just good for a quick dip after a day in the sun. It is narrow and the deck only has about a dozen chairs. We weren't there for the pool, however, so that didn't matter.
I generally don't like the Moxy hotels. My experience in the US is that they are small with a cold feeling. However, this one is a fairly new build with super friendly service. It's got a nice positive vibe versus a contrived vibe. The rooftop pool is pretty sweet. There aren't many lounge chairs on the rooftop but it's a great pool area for this class of hotel. The bar area and seating and work area is exactly what you need if you're traveling on business. Wish it had a gym. Overall, giving it five stars relative to the category and value. This isn't a luxury hotel. This is a great hotel. If you're not spending a lot of time in your room. The rooms are small.
This was a good stay for 3 nights. We arrived early in the day so the hotel stored our luggage while we went sightseeing. ||The hotel is in a good location. Staff were friendly and the housekeeping was good. They gave free drinks for the lobby bar and we had breakfast and a dinner at the hotel. Food was decent. ||Be prepared that this hotel brand is known for small rooms and compact stays. If you want a room with lots of space and closets then this is not the hotel for you. It is sufficient to sleep for 2 people and perhaps a small child if you have a little foldable couch in the room. Bathroom is a decent size. ||I would have given it a 5 star except on check out, I didn't receive the invoice for our stay as the front desk said it would be emailed and I had to keep calling Marriott to get it for me.
This is a very hip/trendy hotel and has everything you expect from a Marriott. Friendly staff, clean rooms and dining area and good location. Upon arrival we met Guma, a very nice lady that gave us best train recommendations, directions how to get down to Pink Street and the like. She was helpful more times than I can count. The bar staff were also sweet hearts that offered a welcome drink (Miguel made a yummy 'cocktail of the day). The rooms were clean yet on the small side, but nothing we aren't used to where real estate is hot... we opted in for the breakfast which was a wise choice - they had fresh fruits, veggies, yogurt, pastries, eggs, veggies, 'bacon', espresso machine and juices, etc. We got our days off to the right start! I definitely would recommend this hotel for those looking for a mid-range stay. Believe it or not, the hotel bar was happening on a weekday. It attracts all types of travelers, couples, groups, families and business people.
We stayed 2 nights here in March. Not up to standards I expect from Marriott. We arrived after the stated check in time and room was not ready. The lobby consists of concrete steps meant to be chairs. Very uncomfortable. Staff was okay. Our room had a double bed and what was supposed to be a sofa bed. The sofa bed when opened was basically a mattress on the floor. While it was comfortable to sleep in unless you are a child it was next to impossible to get up from. There were no real chairs in the room and all of them were low to the ground. The "closet " consists of an open rack in the room and a metal hooks on the wall. The garage is quite difficult to get into if you have a larger car. The hotel is out of the area of most sites so location wasn't as convenient as we'd hoped. There are not many places to eat in the area. We had the breakfast at the hotel which was tasty but expensive. Probably a great hotel if you are under 25.
