Olivauto Rent a Car in Lisbon

I was so nervous renting a car in Portugal after reading about many negative experiences, even with the larger rental companies. I took a chance going with Olivauto instead of the big guys, and I am glad I did. They have fair prices with no hidden fees. The car was clean, new and exactly as requested. We tried to get away with using only non-toll roads, but we found ourselves taking a route where it couldn't be avoided. We only paid for the transponder on the days it was used and the toll fee came through on the credit card later on, in the correct amount. I can't recommend Olivauto enough! It was a great experience.

After long research on which car rental company to choose in Portugal, I chose Oliveauto and it was the best experience ever. Everything was good with the car however we had to wait for over 1 hour before we could get the car because apparently "the previous contract with the car was not closed"?? and they had to look for the paper contract from all around the office. In the meanwhile noone gave us information about what is going on. Except that everything was OK.

Rented a car for a week. When I returned the car there was a bit of damage to the front bumper. Not sure whether I overlooked the damage when I picked it up or whether I actually created the damage myself. Fortunately, they didn't pass on the costs of the damage. Employees are professional and kind. The rental car was a good modern car (VW Polo) for a decent price. Would recommend.

After trying a few rental car companies. This company is the one I will use when I'm in Lisbon. Great customer service Good choice in cars, they will let you know if your reservation is in stock by email. Pick up was fast, about 10-20 minutes. Very good explanation of rules and what to do for toll roads and police encounters. Good value my Volkswagen T-Cross was around EUR85. Drop off was easy, about 10 minutes. Both representatives I dealt with spoke very good English. Thanks, See you again.

Olivauto was a great company. The car was larger and more luxurious than we were expecting for an economy car. Pick up was easy- we were met us at the airport after calling us when our flight landed. Low price for good quality. City center location for drop off had very helpful and kind staff! Highly recommend Olivauto.

The car was great, the service not so much! The lady assisting us was very blunt and unhelpful, which unfortunately soured our experience with Olivauto. I also wouldn't recommend this rental company to Australians / Victorians. Thankfully my partner is Portuguese, so we could still rent the car. But as Victorian licenses don't have an issue date on them, I was told I would not be able to be registered as a driver because they couldn't confirm how much driving experience I had. This wouldn't be ideal to find out on the spot as we did, so just a heads up. :)

I can absolutely recommend Olivauto, the whole car rental process was flawless from start to finish. The quality of the car was beyond our expectation, the price was fair, airport pickup was easy. All in all, a very good experience, I would definitely rent from them again.
