Yawa Vans in Lisbon

Joana has helped us perfectly and with great enthousiasm. We really recommend Yawa vans for their perfect service. Obrigado Joana! It has been out first time with a camper van. Kitchen, fridge, bed, hot shower (when parked correctly) chairs and toilet on wheels. And the views from the van are amazing. The foto on the right at the lake was at Camping Markadia in the Alentejo.

We had a great time, but it was more stressful than we anticipated. The team are responsive and accommodating, but the local facilities and extra fines were stressful. Yawa was the only place in Portugal none of our credit cards worked (we tried 5). Eventually Apple Pay worked. We'd emptied the toilet the evening prior for early departure the next morning. We couldn't find a public toilet nearby, so needed to use it once en route early morning, then realised there is no place to empty within almost a 2 hour window (with traffic) of the office. It was mentioned at check-in, but didn't realise just how much we'd be fined and that there is nowhere possible at all, anywhere near the Yawa office. The grey water waste tap head also fell off on the roads, despite us not hitting anything (other than bumpy roads). We were instantly labelled at fault, which was kind of annoying, but the amount they charged us wasn't much so wasn't worth arguing. The trip ended up just costing us significantly more than we expected, it's certainly not a cheap way to stay given all the extras, but Yawa is decent enough and we had a good time.

I strongly recommend Yawa Vans to those who are thinking about renting a camper and looking for a memorable road trip in Portugal. As a small family (2 adults and a child), we rented a camper (Amalia) for almost a week in early August. Joana gave us very precise instructions on how to use the camper, the vehicle was very comfortable, so we had an amazing holiday in Sagres and the surrounding areas. Joana was very supportive and was always available which made our journey so comfortable, enjoyable and safe. We are really appreciating the outstanding service provided by her, and planning to return.

We keep coming back each year to hire a yawa van and we hope we can continue in the future. We absolutely love working with Joana from the moment we book a van and then the joyful moment of picking up a van. Joana is a sunshine so the trip always starts with a positive energy from Joana. The vans are very comfortable and spacious. They have been built with lots of practical nuances. The fridge is powerful and we cooked many yammy meals there. The shower and toilet give such an extra comfort. They have solar panels. We had deep sleep every night but we do use earplugs. If we had any questions while on our adventures, Joana was supporting us via Whatsup. We are still smiling whenever we remember Joana and Yawa vans. We can't wait to come back soon again :) :)

Really good time experience overall with both the rented van and the whole proccess. Communication was great and Joana helped a lot to make us feel at ease and available for any question or worry we had during the trip.

This company! We highly recommend YAWA vans after using them for our trip of a lifetime through Portugal and Spain for one whole month. The communication and customer service from Joana was excellent. The van itself was in excellent condition, reliable and safe. Joana met us at the Lisbon airport to collect the van and then again at early hours of the morning to end our trip. We loved the set up of the YAWA van, particularly how the bed does not require packing up in the day time. The vans are spacious and we were provided with everything we needed (utensils, sun umbrella, wifi etc). If you are considering YAWA vans, we highly recommend. Thank you again

We are delighted with our experience and our road trip with Yawa Vans. Joana was always available and welcoming before, during and after our trip. We will come back to visit the north of Portugal in a few months and we are sure to rent a van again with YAWA and Joana. Thank you for everything !

This was one of our best experiences in Portugal. We rented a very nice and fully equiped van and headed north of Lisbon to enjoy the Atlantic coast with our son of four years old. Joana was very helful and had everything arranged perfectly and was ready to answer all of our questions. She also gave us her number and said she would be available 24h for whatever might arise (we didn't need anything since everything worked out smoothly). We really enjoyed our trip and living in the van for a couple of nights. Its the best way to travell around and it gives you a feeling of total freedom. Overall this was a great experience and i would reccomend 100% Yawa vans and our host Joana.
