Aware of some of the negative reviews we still went with gold car due to low prices. In our experience the pickup process was super fast and the car was decent enough. We had no problems renting here at all. Would rent again.
Very good experience overall particularly with the check in, clarity regarding paperwork and the vehicle itself. Only reason not giving 5 stars is that at the check out at the end of the hire the communication and instructions were unclear and a contract was signed that could not be fully read. Would still recommend but remain vigilant
Good value for money. Service was quick and efficient. They didn't try to sell me extra insurance, which was very refreshing and welcome The car was rather scratched though and not all the scratches had been reported on the report. Luckily I pointed these out at collection point and it was duly noted. Would have hated to lose my 1500EUR deposit
All went well except a surprise giving back the car where they claimed that the car needed a << special cleaning >> - see pictures of the << specially dirty >> car... be careful, they will find a thousand of inventive ways to rip you off and compensate their low prices. Be honest Goldcar (a Europcar company, which by the way lets them operate this way...)
All really good. Follow the rules and all is fine. Loads of staff at pick up and check out seamless. All the bills for tolls etc arrived and were fine. Small confession, I Rented a car back in June and wanted to get the paperwork sorted before I left a review and slipped my mind. Cheers guys
A good experience overall due to purchasing Key and Go and Super Relax cover which removes the risk and stress of car hire that many reviews detail. One small negative was that the car pick up was a bit chaotic as it was very busy for the small office and number of staff available with no clear directions as to car location and collection. More staff to assist customers during peak busy times would be beneficial however drop off was excellent as it was quiet and very efficient for a Key and Go customer. Overall a really good car hire experience, I would use this company again.
I went directly with Goldcar for no fuss, easy key collection, full insurance option which is about 20% more expensive than if I was going through a third party car insurance on-line broker. In return I got exactly that! The car pick up was easy, drop off even easier - no problems and headache. I would use them again.
Never Goldcar again, they gived to me a sh car with battery dead, I just drove it for 30 minutes, stopped to do a meeting, after finished the meet, I try to start the cart and go back to the airport and was not starting. I call the assistance to explain to him this problem, they said to me "we send now a taxi to bring you at the airport, just leave the key inside the car and a car pickup will go to bring it" I do that and when I go back to the front desk near the airport they said me it's wrong method as I have stay there to wait the car pickup. Basically they want me to lost my flight and buy again ticket and hotel for the night and lost money for their error. I go to the front desk ant the airport and they keep me there for 20 minutes without risolving nothing, they have my 1.500EUR deposit and they didn't give me it yet. Never again this company, this was the first and the last time!
