Don' go there, they have hidden fares, they insert silently without telling you. We got robbed 150EUR+ while we take the insurance proposed on their platform. This same insurance, they said to you that it not enough to cover the car, you will need a extra insurance of 22EUR to cover very well the car. We were debited 150EUR meanwhile we bring the car back without any damage and the car full in gas. Don't go there
Rent at Sixt or a local firm. Went because we're Gold status - it's worthless here. Only car available was good but got terrible mileage and the brakes squeaked. Manager could have cared less. Car got bad gas mileage.
The actual rental station is about 500m away from the terminal. You could walk there, but with luggage it is better to use the Hertz shuttle which leaves about every 15 minutes. It only takes a few minutes to get there. The staff was very nice and the car we rented was in good condition. It was ready when we arrived so we could leave immediately. Since we only needed the big car (Mercedes Vito) at the beginning we asked if we could change the car after some days. This was possible without any problems. The second car was an Audi Q4 e-tron. A very nice and powerful electric car. It worked well, but charging is not so easy if you have to charge at a public station. We could charge it at the hotel, free of charge, there it was no problem at all. All the staff members very nice and helpful.
Amazing customer service. I went to the wrong Hertz (also near the airport) and a member of this Hertz facility came and picked me up within 5 minutes at no additional cost. My rental experience was fantastic and my vehicle was great. I am based from the US and hertz made it so easy to rent a car internationally. Thank you! A++
Very disappointed in Bruno. Up-charged us for a different car because ours wasn't available . Didn't explain properly that not only it was a exorbitant charge but that 23% tax on top of the up charge (remember we are tired jet lagged and without eating) perfect trap. After that we got tricked into signing at return that we will be charged in Canadian dollars at there ridiculous rate instead of my much lower visa rate. All in all I prepaid everything before I left Canada and ended up paying 800$ plus for all his sweet talk. Their ....Please sign here... and you don't read and trust that you are only signing as a prerequisite ends up in .....sir you signed giving us power to up charge.... you in every aspect. Very Disappointed and Unhappy Customer I recently rented a car from Hertz at Porto Airport (Booking: K81723041B2 through Wise Cars) and had an awful experience. Upon arrival, I discovered the deposit required exceeded my credit card limit. The staff suggested I buy additional insurance for EUR38/day, which I agreed to, but they charged me significantly more without my consent. The next day, I found out the actual charges were far higher. Attempts to contact the branch were futile as my calls were dropped repeatedly. This unexpected cost ruined my holiday budget and caused significant stress. Despite reaching out to both Hertz and Wise Cars, no resolution has been offered. I sent an email to Hertz customer service almost a week ago and have yet to receive a response. I feel deceived and overcharged. This experience has caused me serious financial difficulty and is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend Hertz to anyone.
Graciela was amazing!!! She was very helpful, understanding, and empathetic when I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this company. I am focusing on the good of Graciela, but my experience other than with her was THE WORST.
FireFly is the cheap rental from Hertz. They give the worst cars with many KM on tachometer. I booked Opel Astra and got Fiat with 70500 KM on it. Gerard were not ok the cover on Gera's completely worn out. The collection possibilities is just 6 min walk but they let you come to a different place and collect with shuttle. That took more than 1 hour which could have been done in 10 minutes if directed properly. The drop off is als not easy. In contrary to others where the premise is open or you've clear instructions to drop the key - Hertz premise is closed hardly place to park outside and no information on box that it is drop off. I'm a corporate customer of Hertz but shocked to see the processing. Rental record 780290884
