Don' go there, they have hidden fares, they insert silently without telling you. We got robbed 150EUR+ while we take the insurance proposed on their platform. This same insurance, they said to you that it not enough to cover the car, you will need a extra insurance of 22EUR to cover very well the car. We were debited 150EUR meanwhile we bring the car back without any damage and the car full in gas. Don't go there

Rent at Sixt or a local firm. Went because we're Gold status - it's worthless here. Only car available was good but got terrible mileage and the brakes squeaked. Manager could have cared less. Car got bad gas mileage.

The actual rental station is about 500m away from the terminal. You could walk there, but with luggage it is better to use the Hertz shuttle which leaves about every 15 minutes. It only takes a few minutes to get there. The staff was very nice and the car we rented was in good condition. It was ready when we arrived so we could leave immediately. Since we only needed the big car (Mercedes Vito) at the beginning we asked if we could change the car after some days. This was possible without any problems. The second car was an Audi Q4 e-tron. A very nice and powerful electric car. It worked well, but charging is not so easy if you have to charge at a public station. We could charge it at the hotel, free of charge, there it was no problem at all. All the staff members very nice and helpful.

Amazing customer service. I went to the wrong Hertz (also near the airport) and a member of this Hertz facility came and picked me up within 5 minutes at no additional cost. My rental experience was fantastic and my vehicle was great. I am based from the US and hertz made it so easy to rent a car internationally. Thank you! A++

Very disappointed in Bruno. Up-charged us for a different car because ours wasn't available . Didn't explain properly that not only it was a exorbitant charge but that 23% tax on top of the up charge (remember we are tired jet lagged and without eating) perfect trap. After that we got tricked into signing at return that we will be charged in Canadian dollars at there ridiculous rate instead of my much lower visa rate. All in all I prepaid everything before I left Canada and ended up paying 800$ plus for all his sweet talk. Their ....Please sign here... and you don't read and trust that you are only signing as a prerequisite ends up in .....sir you signed giving us power to up charge.... you in every aspect. Very dishonest car rental center specially Bruno

Very Disappointed and Unhappy Customer I recently rented a car from Hertz at Porto Airport (Booking: K81723041B2 through Wise Cars) and had an awful experience. Upon arrival, I discovered the deposit required exceeded my credit card limit. The staff suggested I buy additional insurance for EUR38/day, which I agreed to, but they charged me significantly more without my consent. The next day, I found out the actual charges were far higher. Attempts to contact the branch were futile as my calls were dropped repeatedly. This unexpected cost ruined my holiday budget and caused significant stress. Despite reaching out to both Hertz and Wise Cars, no resolution has been offered. I sent an email to Hertz customer service almost a week ago and have yet to receive a response. I feel deceived and overcharged. This experience has caused me serious financial difficulty and is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend Hertz to anyone.

FireFly is the cheap rental from Hertz. They give the worst cars with many KM on tachometer. I booked Opel Astra and got Fiat with 70500 KM on it. Gerard were not ok the cover on Gera's completely worn out. The collection possibilities is just 6 min walk but they let you come to a different place and collect with shuttle. That took more than 1 hour which could have been done in 10 minutes if directed properly. The drop off is als not easy. In contrary to others where the premise is open or you've clear instructions to drop the key - Hertz premise is closed hardly place to park outside and no information on box that it is drop off. I'm a corporate customer of Hertz but shocked to see the processing. Rental record 780290884

I chose Hertz at the airport (as opposed to the low cost solutions far away from the airport) specifically for the convenience, as I had a tight schedule and needed to maximize my short trip home. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but smooth. When I went to pick up the car, they were having internet issues, which delayed things by nearly two hours. Though the pick-up employee was nice and apologetic, this delay meant I missed important appointments a huge frustration given my limited time. While the employee delaying with me was polite and apologetic, I was surprised by the lack of awareness from others. Despite a long line of customers waiting due to the system malfunction, some employees were loudly discussing who would go on break. Two of them ended up leaving anyway, even though one colleague was pointing out it wasn t a good idea. The drop-off was less time consuming but also not free of hassles. I wasn t told when I picked up the car that there s a separate building for returns. I initially went to the right place, stopped the car, and even opened my window, hoping for some guidance from an employee who was outside. But he just continued smoking and didn t approach me, so I assumed I was in the wrong spot and therefore, parked in their car park instead. After going back inside, I was told I needed to go back to the first building. When I returned to that building, they had me move the car from the parking lot I had originally parked in, just so they could then inspect it to then park in the same park anyway. While I understand that technical issues are sometimes unavoidable, the lack of compensation or follow-up for the inconvenience was disappointing. Clearer communication and some acknowledgment of the disruption to my schedule would have gone a long way. I left feeling that my time wasn t valued, and I wouldn t choose Hertz again based on this experience.

Once upon a time, I reserved a vehicle with Hertz in Porto, convinced that I had found a good deal. When booking online, I was told an attractive price: 80 euros for the entire rental period. But when I arrived at the airport, thats when the fairy tale turned into disillusionment. As soon as I showed up to pick up the car, I was informed of additional charges that no one had mentioned before. First, there was this mysterious airport tax, which apparently fell from the sky. Then, to my surprise, I was charged a fee for tire wear, a tax for the windshield, and icing on the cake, premium insurance that I had never agreed to. And the total? 200 euros. More than double what I had originally planned. Suffice to say that the good deal had disappeared, replaced by a bitter taste of trap and hidden fees. Fortunately, there was still a small positive note in this mishap: the vehicle was impeccable. But unfortunately, this pleasant surprise was not enough to erase the feeling of scam which tarnished the whole experience. Moral of this story? If you rent from Hertz in Porto, read carefully all the details of the contract, because you could have a very unpleasant surprise when you pay the bill...

Des que je me suis presente pour recuperer la voiture, on m a informe de frais supplementaires que personne n avait mentionnes auparavant. D abord, il y avait cette mysterieuse taxe aeroportuaire, qui, apparemment, tombait du ciel. Puis, a ma grande surprise, on m a facture des frais pour l usure des pneus, une taxe pour le pare-brise, et cerise sur le gateau, une assurance premium a laquelle je navais jamais consenti. Et le total ? 200 euros. Plus du double de ce que javais prevu initialement. Autant dire que la bonne affaire avait disparu, remplacee par un gout amer de piege et de frais caches. Heureusement, il y a quand meme eu une petite note positive dans cette mesaventure : le vehicule, lui, etait impeccable. Mais malheureusement, cette bonne surprise na pas suffi a effacer le sentiment darnaque qui a terni toute l experience. Moralite de cette histoire ? Si vous louez chez Hertz a Porto, lisez bien toutes les petites lignes du contrat, car vous pourriez avoir une bien mauvaise surprise au moment de l addition...

Used to rentals from Hertz, I am very disappointed with the Porto airport agency despite the kindness of the young woman who received us: We had rented a vehicle with 3 large bags in the trunk and ended up with a Clio. I explained that we were on a road trip and that luggage in the cabin when changing cities was a problem, the only response from the boss was a change of vehicle for an additional 20/day. 3 weeks rental with such a supplement.... we struggled a lot with our Clio, whereas in Lisbon the previous year the car corresponded well to the type of model reserved. 0

Jai explique que nous faisions un road trip et que les bagages dans lhabitacle lors des changements de villes posait probleme, la seule reponse du chef a ete un changement de vehicule pour 20 / jour supplementaires. 3 semaines de location avec un tel supplement.... on a bien galere avec notre clio, alors qua lisbonne lannee precedente la voiture correspondait bien au type de modele reserve. 0

Unfortunately, the counter in the Porto terminal was closed with a sign indicating that a transport truck was driving people to the stand outside. The journey only took 5 minutes, about 500 meters. Nice lady at the reception, unfortunately without German knowledge but no problem, we somehow managed to understand each other. Unfortunately, we only realized later that we had been charged for a full tank of petrol, even though I had booked full on collection and full on return when making the reservation. We got the car and drove it for 3 weeks without any problems. The return in Faro was no problem as I had booked without a deductible. I also returned the car with a full tank. Unfortunately 2 stars deducted because there is no mention of the fees for a full tank 64 . Fees were also charged for the device for the motorway even though I expressly said that I didnt need it and wouldnt drive on the motorway.

Der Schalter im Terminal Porto war leider zu mit einem Hinweisschield das drausen ein Transportwagen die Leute zum Stand fahrt. Die Fahrt hat nur 5 Minuten gedauert , etwas 500 Meter. Nette Dame am Empfang , leider ohne Deutsche Kentnise aber kein problem wir haben es irgendwie hinbekommen das wir uns verstehen. Leider haben wir erst spater gemerkt das uns ein voller Tank Benzin im Rechnung zusatlich gestellt wurde obwohl ich bei der Reservierung Voll bei Abholung und voll bei Ruckgabe gebucht habe . Das Auto bekommen , hat uns auch 3 Wochen lang ohne probleme gefahren. Die Ruckgabe in Faro ohne Probleme da ich ja ohne Selbsbeteiligung gebucht hatte. Das Auto auch voll getankt zuruck gegeben habe. Leider 2 Sterne Abzug da kein Hinweis auf die Gebuhren fur ein voller Tank 64 . Auch Gebuhren fur das Gerat fur Autobahn sind berechnet worden obwohl ich ausdrucklich gesagt habe das ich es nicht brauche und werde auch keine Autobahn fahren .
