Free Rent in Moreira

My wife and I used Free Rent during our holiday in the Douro Valley at the end of June. The car was perfect and the service excellent - both efficient and professional. They even dropped us off with our luggage at the Metro Station to make things easier for us. Highly recommended.

We had an incredible experience with Anna Esteves at Free Rent. My fiance and I didn't realise that we had actually booked with a different provider, even though she had picked us up from the airport and taken us to their showroom. When we realised our mistake, Anna took it upon herself to call our new providers who could not pick us up from the Free Rent showroom so, she drove us there herself! She was so friendly, did not complain once and went above and beyond to help us in our awkward situation. We couldn't believe the kindness and grace Anna showed us and we are so grateful. She is a positive reflection of the company and we will have no hesitation in booking with Free Rent in future because of her. Thank you so much.

OK so after reading some negative reviews I was very nervous about my booking with free rent. Picked up the car on 18th Feb. Went over the car with a fine tooth comb and documented any scraps and damage just to be safe. The staff were very friendly and very professional. I paid the deposit as stated on all the booking information I was provided and off we went. Car was fine. Drove well and we looked after it like it was our on car. On returning the car I was then expecting all the negative reviews coming true. Them finding issues and trying to withhold the deposit etc.... I had none of that!! They were brilliant.. friendly and professional. They looked over the car and refunded my deposit straight away and even made us a coffee before our transfer back to the airport. Moral of the story really, read your rental agreement, it clearly states about the deposit needs to be from a credit card, and look after the car, you will not have any issues. They were lovely in the office and I will definitely use them again without any issues at all. Free rent aka drive and go as a company were brilliant to us and we were very happy with the service we received! On another note though.. take the guys advice about the toll road chip, take it ... don't risk it and think you don't plan to use the tolls etc. We didn't plan to use the tolls but I took 1 wrong turn and it cost us 0.45 euro. If we didn't pay for the toll chip my little mistake would have cost us over 100euro. They advise you of this when picking up the car. Again they were very helpful and professional. I cannot fault them

We rented for Christmas 10 days. Really great price, big 7 seater Renault, staff were super helpful and experienced. Collecting at Airport was easy despite it was a really busy day and checked us out very efficiently....

DriveGo. It was a good rate, and we recommned taking the full insurance with the broker instead of the company it self. The car was not washed when we received it. Fuel in 0. And returning the car... took excessively long. Not enough personal attending.

Neat, nice car, close to the airport, good explanation on the insurance. One star less for putting me in a Fiat without enough explanation on the strange anomalies of that little car (trouble to open windows, to operate mist light, properly closing the fuel cap - clic - and most important: the weird system to reverse. No booklet or overview in the car to sort out all of that. Moreover NOT enough fuel in the car to do even 120 km on motorways. "Like for like" should be at least half full. The reserved guarantee sum also stays blocked for too long on my account. For the rest: lots of the general remarks on pick up etc are due to false initial info given by broker Discover cars!
