**Don't think, just contact them!** My experience started off rough. I had booked a rental car with a different company a month in advance, but made the mistake of not checking their reviews on Google Maps. When I arrived, they left me stranded on the street without a car -- with my kids and family in tow. In a panic, I searched for another rental and found Atlantic Secrets on Google Maps. They truly saved the day! Even though it was already 7:00 PM, they had a car returning from another customer. They quickly cleaned it and delivered it to us the same evening. A huge thanks to Laura and Atlantic Secrets team from the two kids and four adults who were able to enjoy their vacation because of them.
After arrival airport, rental car service picked us within 5-minutes and company is near the airport. We rented a small car (Renault Yaris) and best for driving on the island and when you go through the small villages and streets. Friendly service and decent price. We enjoyed the island and would use the company again.

Really great experience with this car rental company recommend by our Airbnb host. They speak fantastic English (so sorry I can't speak Portuguese) and are very professional, efficient, responsive and flexible. You call them when you land and they pick you up in a few mins and drive you to get the car about 5 mins from the airport. Lovely car, different insurance options (worth taking the extra- good roads but v bendy and I saw lots of wheel scrapes!) 100% recommend this company and would use again when I return to the beautiful Azores.
I rented from Atlantic Secret Car for the second time, and once again, everything was perfect. They are extremely transparent, helpful, and honest. Unlike many large companies, they don't try to deceive customers with hidden deposits. This is a family-run Azorean business that truly cares about their clients. The prices might be a bit different from the big companies, but here you won't be misled, and you'll be supporting a local family. Highly recommend
Very good place. Easy booking and friendly contact. Helmets for free and brand new scooter with only 2000km and good power and maintenance. It's a bit away from the center but also very price worthy. Would Come again.
We had an amazing 3 Full Day tour with Dinarte and Mariana. They were very friendly and accommodating. Although the weather wasn't ideal, Dinarte was able to make adjustments to ensure we visited all the interesting secrets of Sao Miguel. We look forward to future trips to discover more of Atlantic Secrets with Dinarte and Mariana.
From the time I was picked up at the airport in Ponta Delgada until it came time to return the car, Atlantic Secrets exceeded all my expectations. The people are extremely kind, the cars in in great condition, and communication was superb. I got plenty of great recommendations of things to do/places to eat in Sao Miguel. Make sure to book a rental car way in advance to secure the best pricing.
