I have always been nervous about hiring a car - this was a very smooth experience. Our car experienced a mechanical failure shortly after we collected it, but the company drove a replacement to Furnas to us. We didn't have a credit card, but this was no problem and returning the car was hassle free. I have been used to companies trying to extort money from you by claiming you damaged the car in some way on return, but this was certainly not the case here.

Upon arrival at Ponta Delgada Airport, we were greeted by friendly staff member Paul who dropped us to their office and helped to complete the paperwork efficiently. I have rented from most of the rental car companies around europe for the past years, this is by far the most easy, stress free, comfortable and perfect experience from all of its angles. No document was required, no credit card, no deposit even in cash ! Airport shuttle was excellent. The car was new and clean. Car pickup process was very fast and simple. I didnt need a credit card, deposit or anything, I just paid for the days and the insurance, and it was the best car rental experience Ive had in my life. I worked at a Rent-a-Car in the past and Im always afraid of renting for fear of the schemes they have to take money from tourists, at this Rent-a-Car it was completely different, no one even went around inspecting the car, looking at the scratches or nothing. They picked me up and took me to the airport directly, without any problems or stress. Both Marta and Paulo were impeccable from the first second!
