Auto Ramalhense Rent a car in Ponta Delgada

Very friendly and professional staff. We were able to get an automatic on the same day (late September). We had an issue with a manual we rented at first, and they offered us an automatic (no extra charge). You can pay by cash or non-Portugese cards. Highly recommend!

We rented a car from Ramalhense just outside the airport, and it was an absolute pleasure. Despite not having a reservation, they quickly found us a car at a much cheaper rate than what we'd have paid at the airport. While everyone else was stuck in long lines at the airport car rental kiosks , we enjoyed fast, friendly service with no hassle. The staff was incredibly helpful and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They even wanted to provide a ride for us when we returned it but we wanted to take a walk as they are only 9 min frown the center of Ponta Delgada. We'll definitely be using them again!

Wonderful service! Nice and solution-driven staff, very accommodating (free of charge extension of 1 hour), baby chair and second driver for free, full assurance at 15 euros per day. No waiting time for the transfer to or from the airport (free pick-up until their agency). We had an issue with our car when checking it hence they immediately brought it to the garagist's! No time to lose, efficient service and safety oriented staff. A big thank you for allowing us to enjoy Sao Miguel as it deserves.

I really like this company, they provide so good service with better price. we are a couple from China, on the last day we would like to rent a motorbike, so we search on Google map, and found they located im city center which is not far from where we live, so we visited their place and the rent for one day motorbike is only 30euro, which is much easier than others, and the best part is that the process is so easy just driver licence,.and when we return back, they only take a glance at the motorcycle without checking it thousands of times, and the surprise is that they even offer free shuttle bus to airport for us, it saves our time and money, I like them a lot, thank you so mucn, for sure I will recommend to my friends, keep doing like this!

I really like this place for its friendliness and straightforward answers. I felt they were trustworthy right away. And of course, Jorge, the man of the hour with all the hot tips. We had an amazing time driving around the island and exploring. Having the smallest vehicle really helped for parking and the narrow roads.

They are the best of the island and so happy I rented with them! Everyone was so nice and kind! I got a good rate and was super happy with my car! They did a run through and inspected my car with filling air tires to make sure I was safe and comfortable prior to leaving the rental place, when I returned car I was running late to airport and they dropped me off in record time at no cost!!! Will def be back to rent from here when I come back!!!

Customer service is just AMAZING 100/100 ! Extremely fiendly! They not only give you the car ! They explain to you which places to visit and which ones to avoid! Jorge is such a nice guy ! Very welcoming, friendly and he speaks lots of languages so ask for him ! He will be incredibely helpful ! You absolutely feel you're safe renting a car with them you almost feel like having family to back you up if anything happens! Honestly very happy with this company and I highly recommended ! They gave me a really nice car so I was very happy with it!

Well maintained, clean cars (taken care of by a year round crew), accommodating friendly staff and reasonable pricing (particularly for visiting patients from other islands seeking medical care in S. Miguel) makes this rent a car company stand out relative to others in the region. Their centrally located office in Ponta Delgada is very convenient and their willingness to help is unsurpassed.
