car was okay. hard sell on insurance, which i refused. so when I returned the car, they claimed there was a new (tiny) dent. When I asked to see the pictures from before, they only had ones from 3 weeks earlier when it wasn't in it but the car had been rented to lots of people in between. I'm confident that we didn't put the tiny dent into it. they almost got me to just pay 107 euro, but then at the very end that number turned into 200 euro (they charge tax and a large paperwork fee).

Everything was OK, I was satisfied. After our arrival, we were picked up at the airport within a few minutes (instructions were in the phone after landing), the driver was very polite and helpful, He gave us many useful advice what to see there. The car was OK, as well as picking and returning process.

The staff is very friendly and polite. The station is few kilometers away from the airport - free shuttle service is provided by the company. Return of the car was smooth and we were brought back to the airport with no delays. Car was OK.

This is a dishonest operation. I met the employee once I landed at night only to learn that the car that I had rented (automatic) was unavailable -- she only had a manual car was available, which I do not know how to drive. The employee said that she could potentially get an automatic car in the coming days, with no guarantee when. And she said she could not assist with processing a refund despite being unable to provided the car specified in the contract. She claimed to have not received the payment although I can see it (unfortunately) was processed the prior week by my credit card company. I have since read reviews for the overall company (I had only read reviews for the Azores branch) and realize that other customers have reported widely its dishonest / fraudulent conduct (not providing specified cars, not refunding deposit, charging for non-existent damages). Check out the other reviews for Surprice online before proceeding -- although I would never recommend renting with this company.
