Came 30min early for my reservation and was told it was impossible to start the process early (even though the line was crazy). We came back 10min before our reservation was timed to start and waited in line for 50minutes, not getting our car almost an hour after. The lady helping us was very rude and basically scolded us for coming early. They are very disorganized and not efficient at this location. Little seating areas as well. It felt absurd to wait almost an hour in line when they could have started the process for us a few minutes early and waited to hand us the car at the exact moment the reservation started. Terrible customer service. Actually appalling for such a large company. I've been traveling in Europe a lot recently and renting cars from small companies and this is by far the worst experience. Take your money to a different company.
Picked up vehicles in Porto. Very pleasant staff and a busy location so be patient as overall experience was wonderful. We paid for the extra full coverage so this makes the experience much faster. The small suv was a little light on the road but was perfect for us as a couple. The drop off at Faro airport terminal location was very quick and very pleasant staff. It was a short walk to the terminal. The only suggestion I would make is the signage for all rental cars return location is not great so would love to see more clearer direction in the future.
Staff were efficient and helpful. Had to wait about 40 minutes in a queue as they were really busy but they went as fast as possible and there were plenty of staff. Car was good and price was good.
The car we rented was clean and ready to go when we arrived. All staff we met both at pickup and return in Porto and at Lisbon airport were very pleasant and helpful. The vehicle was a pleasure to drive and the Apple Car Play easy to access. Overall perfect experience. We will gladly book Europcar for future adventures!!
Had a good experience here as a foreigner (better than other rental companies in Portugal). My rental was for 13h/1pm, however the location closes for lunch at this time. It was busy, and the staff stayed until everyone was seen to. (Would be better if renting during their lunch break was not an option, I would have come before/after). Everything was explained clearly, like the available options, insurance, charges. Car was good. Return was also quick and easy.
Great rental car company. We used them in Portugal to drive all over the country. The booking, pick up and drop off was very quick and easy. The staff were kind, experienced and efficient. The quality of the car was great for our family. Would use again.
I strongly advise against booking at this car rental location if you value your time. Expect to spend your entire Saturday morning in a stagnant line that hardly moves. The poor location is understaffed and desperately needs more attendants. They should also gather information online to streamline the process.
Have have rented a motorcycle from this location twice and my experience was very good. Friendly staff and the process of picking up and returning the bike was very easy. I will come back, soon I hope.
