We had a lovely time in our camper. We had everything we need in our neat van, that got us everywhere we wanted to be. The Siesta Campers team were all kind and helpful, and we found the prompt assistance and communication very refreshing. A little pricey for me personally, but worth the peace of mind. Spend the last week traveling with the VW California and I couldn't imagine a better way to explore the west-coast! The service was amazing. They explained everything so well, really felt like we were in good hands! The whole van was super easy to work with. Everything worked fluently! we collected the van in Porto to leave it in Lisbon, the 2 offices are located near the airports, very warm welcome, clean van and equipped as we wanted (small California van for us), not much to report on the van and the smooth running of our stay, the team calls you or is easily reachable, on the way back we were able to leave our luggage at the Lisbon office to enjoy the city for a while longer and the team called us the taxi to come pick us up there. What an amazing experience! Booking this trip, I was thinking it will be lots of fun, but now on hindsight I can share that it was an amazing experience with lovely new family memories made! We are all so glued to computer and mobile screens, but doing this trip as a family, allowed for great times spent together, cooking, eating, bbqing ...all in the great outdoors and seeing the world together. Very good experience! We had a brand new Siesta Atlantic (T6) (2000 km on the clock) for our family (3 children) to make a round trip on the Portuguese coast between Porto and Cabo de Sao Vicente. 4 of us slept in the van, and our eldest in a tent next to the van. The check-in of the van was great, everything was explained well and we even had the right to extra seats for the children! THANKS ! . On the second day, we thought our #vanlife experience was going to end. On a (very) big hill, the engine stopped several times in a row (every 20 meters) for no reason... A loss of power. We werent being smart! After a call to support, we had a mechanic by WhatsApp, very professional, thanks to him asked us to head to a garage close to our location (less than 5 minutes away) and luckily, the van restarted and the The mechanic was able to note the breakdown (related to diesel) and put the van back on its feet in a few minutes. The team was very responsive! We didnt have a single problem until the end of the course. Thank you again for the welcome, the advice and the good humor of the team.

Le check-in du van a ete super, tout a bien ete explique et nous avonsmeme eu le droit a des fauteuils supplementaires pour les enfants ! Merci ! . Le deuxieme jour, nous avons cru que notre experience #vanlife allait prendre fin. Dans une (tres) grosse cote, le moteur sest arrete plusieurs fois de suite (tous les 20 metres) sans aucune raison... Une perte de puissance. Nous ne faisions pas les malins ! Apres un appel au support, nous avons eu un mecanicien par whatsapp, tres professionnel, merci a lui nous a demander de nous diriger vers un garage proche de notre lieu (a moins de 5 minutes) et chance, le van a redemarre et le garagiste a pu constater la panne (lie au gasoil) et remettre daplomb le van en quelques minutes. Lequipe a ete tres reactive ! Nous navons plus eu un seul probleme jusqua la fin du parcours. Merci encore pour laccueil, les conseils et la bonne humeur de lequipe.

Great campervan, service needs improvement. We rented, for the second time, a campervan (VW California) for 3 weeks at Siesta Campers Porto. The reception and explanation on the pick-up day were great. On the 2nd day, a warning light (Oil level too high, visit workshop!) appeared on the dashboard. Contacted Siesta and they told me that most likely the light would be gone the next morning (cold engine). The next morning the light was gone, but the level on the dipstick was still over the maximum. I was adviced that, if the van was not driving weird, I could cotinue driving. A day later, on a Sunday, again a warning light. Reaction: there is no big problem. Advice: open and close the hood. If you wish, you can visit a garage on Monday if the light comes back on. I would have expected a more active approach from their side as in We will make an appointment at garage-x. Now, I had to spend valuable time finding a Portuguese garage. Luckily, the open/close the hood-procedure was affective, but still I think its a bad advice if the level is visibly way too high. Second point of improvement: we were given a gas-bottle that was not full. We were told: if you do not cook a four-course meal every day, you will make it. However during the 2nd week, we ran out of gas. We visited 6 addresses that were listed in a list that was mentionned in the rental agreement, but none of them sold the required gas bottle. I kept informing Siesta about our search, but the were not active in helping me to find an address that sold the right bottle. Finally, with the help of a local Bricomarche, employee, we found the right bottle at an address that was not listed in the list provided. This process costed us about half a day of our valuable time, the only reaction from Siesta was we are sorry for the inconvenience. I would have expected, especially after we had problems with the oil-level, a more generous offer (e.g. x-% discount on your next rental) from their side. Conclusion: great van, but once you are on the road and run into problems, you are more or less on your own. Finally, we advice Sieste to provide a water hose to fill up the reservoir, to provide level-blocks to get the camper at a (more) horizontal level as a lot of camper-sites are not level and give a (second) full gas bottle if there is a chance that the customer runs out of gas during the rental period.

The van was brand new, super equipped, very comfortable to drive and all the equipment for sleeping, cooking and washing was perfect too. We got a last minute deal - Siesta Beach campervan for 5 days. We arrived sooner than we should have but it wasnt a problem. Car was ready for us and pleasant staff willingly checked us in and showed us the van. There is also a table spot where leftovers are for taking like salt, spices, paper towels and more.
