Auto Canhas Rent-a-Car in Santa Cruz

We had a very good experience with the car rental service. Upon arrival, we were provided with a Peugeot 208, and the driver who picked us up from the airport took us directly to the rental agency where we completed the rental paperwork. The car was clean and in good technical condition. Upon returning the vehicle, we refueled it and after a brief inspection, the staff took the car back and drove us back to the airport.

Highly recommend Auto Canhas I spent two amazing weeks in Madeira in August with their Ford Fiesta ST 1.0. The guys at the office were very friendly and helpful; they picked me up and dropped me off at the airport. The rental price was very good, with no unnecessary deposits or credit cards needed. My wife and I drove over 1,000 km around the island without any issues--the car was very agile. Thank you for everything, and I hope we meet again someday!

We rented a car from Auto Canhas for the period August 17-20. The contract car was a Renault Clio, but we got a massive upgrade - the Renault Capture! The car was clean and a pleasure to drive across the island. We were picked up from the airport by shuttle to their office and 10 minutes later we were on our way. Payment is ONLY upon arrival, there are no deposits or hidden fees, and their prices are the lowest of any rental company! On the 20th August our flight was scheduled for 9am and we had to be at the airport at 7am - this was no problem for them, they advised us to park the car in a designated car park right outside the airport. If we come back we will definitely use their services! The best rental company in Madeira! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our BMW from Auto Canhas! I couldn't find much information on this car rental place before arriving and was slightly skeptical, but everything went smoothly and the cost was 1/2 as much as an airport rental. They will meet you at the airport with a shuttle and will take you around the corner to their location. Car was great, service was great, price was the best. Highly recommend!

Great experience and the best car rental in Madeira! At the airport the price was double and they all have big deposit. The team was great and responsive. No need to pay any deposit or use a credit card. The cars are in good condition and very clean.

Wow! Really wow, the best car rent experience in my life! We arrived to the airport, the driver was waiting for us and we went to the office. In a few minutes we got a key from our cat, cute and perfectly clean BMW with AUTOMATIC transmission as I ordered before. Are you ready to be impressed? No prepayment required, only when you pick up the car, NO deposit fee, completely nothing, I didn't believe and ask million time if I understood correctly When we return the car, the process took 2 mit and we were taken to the airport. That was luxury service, thank you for that! The price is very very pleasant, surely recommend this company with open heart!

Amazing service! The guys were super lovely and the car we got was fantastic! Cannot rate them highly enough for how good the service was. I wish we could give more than 5 stars. Our flight was delayed so we were worried we would not be picked up. However, we received a call as soon a we landed to let us know they tracked the flight and knew it had been delayed and that someone was on their way to pick us up. We were picked up and dropped off at the airport without any issues. Also loved that there was no hidden fees or huge deposits required like you get with other companies. Fantastic rental company!
