Everything was perfect, had a great almost new car, their staff was very kindly, the transfer went perfect, you have to look outside at the airport for a car with the red label "Cassiano's", when you return the car you will have to drive to the wash station which is in the same street, just next to the head office and they will transfer you back to the airport, my experience was very great, i can't complain about anything.

We recently rented a car from Cassianos on Madeira, and overall, we were very satisfied. The shuttle service that picked us up from the airport was quick and reliable. The car was in good condition, the return process was smooth, and the company was easily reachable throughout. Everything went flawlessly! A little tip: Call the company as soon as you arrive so they know to send the shuttle. Unfortunately, our first interaction with an employee named Miguel wasn't very pleasant. He seemed unfriendly and gave the impression that he had no interest in his job or in assisting us, which was a bit disappointing, especially when you've just arrived for your vacation.. On the bright side, we want to give a big shout-out to Maggie (Margerite). She was incredibly friendly and helpful - a real standout in the team. Her colleagues could definitely learn a thing or two from her excellent customer service!

I recently rented a car from this company, and my experience was quite mixed. On the positive side, the pick-up at the airport went smoothly, even though we had to wait a bit--partly due to our flight being delayed. However, when we arrived to collect the car, we were hit with an unexpected fee because one of the drivers was 25 years old. It turns out that this rental company only waives the young driver surcharge for drivers over 26, which wasn't communicated to us in advance. We were given a Seat Ibiza, which seemed fine at first. However, the following day, we noticed that the front tires had virtually no tread. We could actually feel this while driving, which was quite concerning. We immediately returned to the rental office and were given a replacement vehicle with slightly better tires. Unfortunately, the way we were treated by the manager during this exchange was far from professional. The staff member who initially greeted us was polite, but when the manager arrived, he didn't speak to us at all and only inspected the car. His attitude came across as rude and dismissive, which left a bad impression. That said, we did receive a replacement car, and the employee who handled the rest of the process was kind and helpful. Upon returning the vehicle, it was clear that the staff was stressed and in a hurry, rushing through the check-in without much conversation. Despite this, they kindly offered to drop us off at the beach before our flight, which was a thoughtful gesture. In conclusion, while the service had its positive aspects, particularly the convenient airport pick-up and the friendliness of some staff, the lack of communication about fees and the unprofessional behavior of the manager left me disappointed.

Friendly staff. The car was good, although damaged (large scratches / dents in the doors). Staff explained their cars are nearly always rented out and they have no time to fix them in-between hires. We received a Peugeot 208. Car was smooth and powerful. Had full 360 cameras and various other driving aids. I made the mistake of taking out the insurance at the counter (EUR150), even though I had got this through DiscoverCars. I realised this after I got home. I made the booking a long time before the actual holiday and didn't properly read the document stating you should tell the staff you don't need insurance! Apparently the staff can't see this on their end and will offer it anyway. Notice! You will need a credit card for the deposit (as other reviewers have already mentioned). I used an American Express, which was accepted. The pickup went OK at the airport, although we had to wait half an hour for the bus to turn up (after a call). Would be nice if it was already there given we specified our arrival time when we booked the car. 4 stars not 5 as the car was visibly damaged on the doors and bumper.

Such a great rental experience in Madeira. We were picked up in a shuttle at the airport and driven less than 5 minutes to the office. The staff are so kind and helpful. The rental price and car quality were great. We even scratched the car (our biggest fear - the first time either of us have ever scratched any car) and were very nervous about how it would be handled, but they were super nice about it, the fee was extremely reasonable, and they helped us sort it out with our insurance. Highly recommend!

I rented a car from this car rental company (through Discover Cars) for 10 days. There was not a single problem. However, I made sure that I had all the necessary documents, credit card, read all the terms and conditions, so I knew about the 90 euro deposit for fuel. I also made enough time to rent and return the car, but everything went very quickly and without a problem. I planned to return the car at 7:30 in the morning, arrived at 7:20, the rental car employee came right after me, checked the car and drove me straight to the airport, where I was around 7:40. I was very relieved because it was my first time renting a car abroad.

Competitive price. We were picked up from the airport within 10 minutes of phoning them. We were quickly seen by Marianna who was friendly and professional. There was no hard sell to buy their enhanced insurance once we explained we had our own insurance. The car( new VW Golf) was in excellent clean condition. At the end of the rental period the car was quickly handed over to a staff member who then took us back to the airport. At each stage Cassiano's provided a prompt and professional service. We will definitely use them again next time we come to Madeira.

Great quality/price ratio. It is a great alternative to the big fish of rental cars. Very customised service. Shuttle service from and to airport, and even to Funchal or Machico. I did the reservation long before the trip through Discover Cars and didnt read the documents and insurance included properly. So, I ended up paying the insurance that Cassianos cars offer, which seemed better as in case of any trouble I did not have to worry at all. With this, I didnt need to use a credit card for the 1200 deposit. It might be a good option when you are travelling for just a few days, but in highsight I didnt needed that extra insurance. What I would do next time is to book directly with them hoepfully getting a better deal and cover my booking with their insurance. So, I am recommend is to ready carefully your paperwork before the pickup in case you book the car through other companies or try and get directly in touch with Cassianos.

Potential for improvement However, there are a few points where we see room for improvement: Airport pickup: Although the description in the email was good, we had difficulty finding the meeting point. It wasnt immediately clear where exactly we would be picked up, and there was initially no one to be seen at the meeting point. A sign or person on site would have been helpful to mark the meeting point more clearly. Credit Card Policy: There has been some confusion regarding credit cards. It was insisted that one must present the physical credit card to receive the car. In my opinion, this is unnecessary because amounts can also be blocked via NFC - we have already experienced this in hotels or other rentals. In addition, other customers were told that you cannot block an amount with a debit card. However, it worked without any problems for us. We rented a Seat Arona for 6 days through Check24 and got a VW T-Cross (almost the same car). After a quick call, the shuttle service appeared at the airport just 2 minutes later. The staff was very friendly and gave us enough time to take photos of the car and document any scratches/defects. The car had a full tank, was perfectly clean and had about 30,000 km on it. Additional insurance was offered, but after I pointed out our existing insurance via Check24, this was accepted immediately. The deposit for excess ( 1400) and fuel ( 90) was as stated at Check24 and was blocked on the credit card (note: no debit cards!). The return went smoothly, only took about 5 minutes and we were then driven straight to the airport. Overall, I can highly recommend Cassianos Rent a Car!

Bad attention! We have comprehensive insurance with car jet in my partners name and they did not accept our debit card. I presented my credit card and they forced us to pay extra for the additional driver without giving us the alternative of putting the contract in my name, which I had not even done. We went through trip.com As soon as we picked up the car (3008) the brakes made an unbearable and worrying noise. We had to call the insurance, who intervened and confirmed that the vehicle was dangerous. They collected the car and by taxi we returned to get another car the next morning. We waited 30 minutes for pickup and this is fully understandable as they are very busy when renting cars. The entire contract signing process went very smoothly. The rented car worked very well on the roads of Madeira. It was a Toyota Aygo X in a automatic car. There was no problem with the opinion either. A quick check of the car and a signed report after 5 minutes. The service is at a very high level and is very friendly. I definitely recommend Cassianos Rent a Car. P.S. I have not encountered a single negative situation mentioned in previous comments.
