Drive On Madeira - Rent A Car in Santa Cruz

You rent a car, get a mail from David who will be at the airport waiting for you with a sign (in this case their mediator Insularcar), check the car which was brand new peugeot 208 with only 7000km, pay without blocking your money for insurance purpose (in my case it was 300 EUR) sit in a car and drive. People who were there to give and take the car back were relaxed and helpful no stress at all. For sure when I go to Madeira again will rent via this company.

David is a very kind and approachable person. He waited for us at the airport without any problems when our flight was delayed. We arranged everything quickly and easily when picking up and handing over the car. The Nissan Micra we drove was in great condition. We recommend without hesitation.

Great contact before and after the reservation. Clear rules and fair prices. Process of taking a car took just few minutes, handling over was even faster. What is outstanding - there is no need to have a credit card, maximum fee to which you are responsible for any damage is 300EUR, which is a thousand less than any competition. The amount is not even blocked on the card, while taking a car only card details are noted down (that's might be on cons site). I honestly recommend the service and will return as a client in the future

Smooth, easy and efficient. David was very friendly and helpful. He was waiting for us at arrivals (our flight landed at midnight) for us to pick the car up and was there at departures to drop it off. The car was in perfect condition. Highly recommend this company!! Reliable and honest

We travel a lot and it was our first time in Madeira. This is by far the Best car rental experience we had. We didn't have to wait after our car, David was waiting for us outside the airport and the car was all ready for us. David was very kind and friendly. He gave us lots of tips. We highly recommend this company!

We arrived late, response time was very quick. They accommodated our late arrive with ease. From sitting down talking about the payments to driving away took no longer than 10 minutes. The selection process online was easier than I thought it would be. We went with one of the Mazda hybrids and it drove like a charm. We drove the entire island in 4 days and only had to fill up the tank one time. I can't think of anything that was negative about my experience driving in another country. I will be renting a car from Drive On Madeira - Rent A Car again.

This was easily the best rental car experience I've ever had. David was phenomenal, met us right outside the airport to meet us with the car. We had an early departure and the accommodations were very smooth and helpful. David was very responsive and very easy to communicate with. Not to mention the car was new, clean and could handle all of the roads of Madeira. Could not recommend this company enough!!

It was my first time I ever rented a car, but everything went very well. We did not have to pay in advance, just when we arrived. Payment is also possible with debit card, not just credit card. I paid with a Revolut card. David was waiting for us outside the terminal with a sign, so we found him easily, and we quickly got our car. The car was clean, and in good condition with only 30.000kms in it. We rented a small Mitsubisi Space Star, so it was easy to navigate on the narrow roads, and also easy to park. But it was also good enough to go up everywhere (even to Pico do Arieiro). If you are a good driver you don't need a more powerful car, just know how to handle it and it will go up to everywhere in the island ;) On our last day we just parked down the car right next to the entrance to the terminal, David was waiting for us here. If I go to Madeira again I am sure that I will rent a car from David again. :)
