I rented a campervan for 2 weeks. As i've rented quite a few campers/camping gear in the past, I'd thought I'd share my experiences. - Communication is on point. I have sent quite a few questions before renting and always got quick answers. - Pricing is decent for what you get, although I do feel that the extra insurances can make it pricy if you opt for these. - technically, the van was more that fine. Not once did I feel that, from a driving perspective, anything was wrong. - the quality of the gear and the camping-side of the van does feel it could be improved. The interior of the van felt a bit dated with a lot of tiny things being (partially) broken. Cabinets which don't close smoothly, the stove was a bit of a hassle when using 2 burners, the blinds and window covers were damaged and so was the floor in a few spots. Nothing major, but it does make the experience feel less that it could be. In all I'd recommend renting here. The vans feel safe, the pricing seems fair and the owners feel like honest people.
Free spirit campers had provided us with sleeping bags for our stay in Portugal for the WYD (JMJ). It was really comfortable and very clean. The sleeping bags kept us warm during some really chilly nights. Would highly recommend free spirit campers as your go to place for sleeping bags. Thank you so much for the wonderful service!
Had used the sleeping bags they offered and there were really comfortable. Their length was enough and it was comfortable to sleep no issues whatsoever. Would recommend 100% and it's not pricey at all.
I attended the World youth Day 2023 in Lisbon. For this period i needed to rent sleeping bags for my team and me. Adelia was really supportive of us and was able to provide us with as many as 8 sleepings bags, if needed. The sleeping bags were quite clean. I would highly recommend Adelia and Free Spirit Campers for renting Sleeping Bags. She was also very understanding as were a bit late in delivering the sleeping bags back. We rented a minivan for 2 people and it was the perfect size. The car was in a great condition, hardly having any scratches. Everything went pretty smoothly and it's always possible to contact the owners if necessary. If we ever decide to go camping in Portugal again this will be the place to come back to ;) thanks !
My friends and i (4ppl) used Free Spirit Campers during our last trip to Portugal. From start to finish they were nothing but helpful and we really enjoyed our time. Great response time, customer service, fair price, and accommodating with the pick up and drop off location. I would highly recommend Free Spirit and will use them again next time i'm in Portugal.
We had a great experience with these Vans! Everything was great in our trip, we had a small problem with the sink but the owner helped us to solve the problem very quick. Highly reccomended!
We had a wonderful time with our Little campervan exploring the Algarve. The van was brand new (not even 2 years old) and equipped with everything we needed for our trip. Adelia and Alberto have been very helpful and gave us great recommendations on which places to visit and what we souldn't miss out. Also, Adelia gave us a very infrming tour through all the functions of the van so that we were exellently equiped for our voyage. Next time we visit Portugal, we will definetively come back.
